This place is outstanding, fantastic staff, food, drinks and atmosphere. I’m quite a fussy eater and being coeliac they accommodate me extremely well and don’t refuse my changes on menu choice. Would highly recommend

Visited a few times now and whilst the food is lovely (roast dinner usually) the service is typically quite slow and not very attentive. I find you have to spend quite a bit of time to get somebody’s attention. It wouldn’t put us off visiting again however hopefully this is constructive feedback. A couple of member of staff who we see regularly are lovely and attentive but it does feel as if not all are trained to the same standard.

Enjoyed a meal on a Sunday. I had a Sunday Roast (pork), excellent meal, only complaint ( and this is totally personal), is that the gravy is put on your meal before you receive it. I dislike a lot of gravy and there was far too much for me. PLEASE Windmill put the gravy in a container!. My husband had a sizzling plate and couldn't praise it enough. Definitely go back though.

Me and my partner ate here recently. Staff were lovely and attentive. The food was delicious! Really enjoyed our meal.

Celebrated another family birthday this weekend. Excellent as usual, nothing too much trouble, thank you so very much.

This has to be one of my favourite places to eat in Wigan! The nachos are absolutely amazing, I haven’t had anything from here that I didn’t like! The cocktails are to die for! Service is great! Meet with a warm welcome, all staff can’t do enough for you always great atmosphere! Great for with family friends and date night! Brilliant keep doing what your doing! Love it

Lovely mothers day meal

Amazing day for Mother’s Day. Cocktails and food were divine. Highly recommend

Beautiful new decor. Very classy. Good meal overall although the beef was very sinewy and difficult to cut. (We asked for steak knives). One piece was inedible as it was impossible to cut. Quite expensive with the optional service charge. Would rather the charge isn’t put on although I understand why this is done.

Was welcomed warmly on arrival, Then it was downhill from then on, 15 mins no drinks offered had to ask to for a server to come to table, Tried to order ribs they said run out ordered chilli con carne instead no taste no spice was bland tasted like mince and onions in a soggy taco bowl, hardly touched it. I was expecting so much more , Disappointed was an understatement, if you want a chilli buy a jar of uncle bens I wished I could say it was OK but it wasn't...

As always Papa Luigi never lets us down, friendly staff, wonderful food and a great atmosphere! If you haven't been you are missing out!

What an absolute gem of a place. I recently visited Parbold and stumbled across the Windmill and so planned to take my wife there end of the week. We arrived early evening and have to say service, atmosphere and food was 5/5 and the price was most certainly value for money. My wife and I visit Southport a lot and stay in either the Bold Hotel o the Lord Street Hotel - both offer great service too. So it was a no surprise to note that the Windmill is part of the Mikhail Group - great service and atmosphere is standard. Oh and location, right on the canal bode well for a lovely walk towards a sunset. We will be back . . .
