Been here a few times and it never fails to impress us , from walking in to sitting down , to taking our order ,getting drinks then food , always a smile , nothing is too much trouble , food is always hot and delicious , never had a bad experience , if you haven't been you should

What an amazing find, live not far away but never visited The Fox, the fish and chips wow what else can I say outstanding, will definitely be visiting again.

Stayed in Wigan for a couple of days (up from Nottingham) and stumbled across Papa Luigis by accident. It was a very happy one! They had a wide-ranging menu, the food was really good and great value for money, so really pleased we found it. If we're in Wigan again will definitely go back. :)

We have had several meals at The Fox over the last two years and have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and they are very compliant with Covid requirements even though the government have lifted restrictions. I was very happy to hand sanitise, take temperature and wear a mask. They obviously are very assiduous in sanitising the tables between reservations. Unfortunately, the products used react with the varnish on the wooden tables and leave an unpleasant sticky residue. It would be great if they could cover the tables with a sheet of glass which would be easy to keep clean and would not be sticky. It is so bad that the cutlery actually sticks to the surface of the table. However, that is just a little niggle which pales into insignificance when you taste the food. Unfailingly delicious and generous portions should ensure that The Fox has many satisfied diners. Yesterday I had the pork wrapped in Parma ham with sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese and parmentier potatoes. The combination of flavours was superb and I can’t wait till the next time. My only suggestion, other than glass on the tables, would be for a smaller portion of fish and chips. My husband has little appetite and the large portions over face him. A Pensioner’s Portion would be very welcome and would help with food waste as well. All in all The Fox is a great place to meet friends and sample gorgeous food. Compliments to the chef and staff and I can’t wait till the next time.

First time at The Fox We can not fault anything , excellent service from start to finish. The food presentation and quality is first class. We have a voucher and will definitely be returning .

Really enjoyed our food , nachos are to die for ! Garlic bread with cheese is two wraps not a pizza ,but still very tasty ,We chose few different small dishes from the starter menu and enjoyed all , Lovely cocktails (tryed quite a few ) service great , the girls checked in made sure everything was ok , didnt wait long for food or drinks on a busy Saturday afternoon , would definitely recommend a visit, we will be back soon !!

Gorgeous food. You leave feeling as full as a bulls bum! Cocktails are so nice too. The nicest nachos I've ever had and can tell its all fresh.

Was only just tucking in to food and ended up leaving the full meat platter,as some stupid lads was in being sick in there hands and running out side to the front,and still staff left them in even tho it was all over the floor plus a family with a wheelchair wouldn't go in till it was wiped as they didn't want it on there wheels,the lads was just pissed and disrespectful so should of been asked to leave,we left all food platter what cost £25
