Came on Saturday and will definitely return! Food was delicious and hot and fresh. The siu mai were amazing and the duck. A little less ‘salt’ in the salt and pepper squid would be good as it was too salty for my taste but still tasty. Great ambience and great drinks! It’s great to find a Chinese restaurant that serves proper drinks and decent wine and good draught beer so we were really impressed. Waiters were spot on too and very attentive. All in all, best Chinese I’ve had in ages .

Big price increase yet small portions , soup was too sweet , main course was very small , spring rolls nice best part of meal , very expensive since last visit 4 weeks ago and left feeling hungry after eating the portions were so small good service very noisy and sitting on a bench and a chair with different levels not a nice experience left within a hour won’t be back

Visited the Ying Wah for many years and will continue to do so. Most recent visit brought a friend from outside Liverpool for the first time and he loved it too. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Delicious food, fantastic service and a good atmosphere.

First visit since the refurbishment and it was lovely. I had mixed veg chow mein which was great. Lots of choice on the menu, including gluten free. Prices for deserts and prosecco by the glass was more than expected. We went for my birthday so as a special occasion it was worth it. Plenty of families eating there. I would recommend. Food was good quality and authentic.

Really nice venue since it’s been upgraded. Food and service excellent. Reasonable priced.

We visited last night, first time for about 12 years.....and no idea why we haven't been for so long! Staff very attentive, great food, clean plates :-) We will be back soon

Had Banquet C - food was lovely and service really good. My only criticism is it was a bit pricey but I suppose we would only go there for a treat so worth it but would definitely visit more often if it was a bit more affordable.

Always a pleasure to eat here. As a coeliac it’s great for a restaurant like Yang Wah to cater for me, when so many others don’t. Tasty, good sized portions and the staff are lovely. Worth a visit if you’ve never been!

Went to for a birthday meal. We had banquet B food was lovely, nice hot, well presented service was excellent. My only moan is the portions were on the small size especially on banquet

-Wasn't impressed to be honest. I tried a different dish - 3 meat with Cantonese sauce - with boiled rice. I was disappointed though as the Cantonese sauce was thin like Soy Sauce and sparse. As the meat was on the dry side as well I asked for some sauce to go with it - the waitress seemed surprised and didn't suggest a sauce so I asked for sweet and sour as I like that.. Meal was dry and boring. My husband enjoyed the Crispy Beef with fried rice dish. He had Crispy Lamb to start, the Lamb was not overly crispy but he enjoyed the dish and would recommend.

We booked a table for New Years Eve. The set menu banquet was amazing - the food was delicious we all really enjoyed it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great - it was a busy night but everyone was so friendly and service was great. We have been to the Ying Wah many times and we would thoroughly recommend it ! We went for our New Years Eve Meal , there was a special set menu with such a generous choice of dishes included in the amazing set price. The restaurant was beautiful as usual with lovely festive decor. We were really pleased with our seating didn’t feel claustrophobic on a very busy night. The food was outstanding as always cooked to perfection and presentation mouth watering. There were so many starters, a choice of mains and even a desert to finish off delicious. The drinks menu is something for everyone lovely wines, beers and attractive cocktails too, fabulous The Team are always so friendly and professional and looked after us perfectly especially on a very busy night. Thank you for a gorgeous evening I always do and will continue to recommend this magical restaurant and cannot wait to visit again. Love from Sibelle and Dave
