Yes another meal here at the theatre restaurant, we had a very polite and totally focussed staff member look after us, she was great. food served was of a good quality and portion size. A summer style soup with excellent toasted bread, I opted for seabream and the other half stuffed chicken. the joy also is the fact you are in the theatre space prior to your show relaxed and well fed simply put no rush to get there and yes we would eat here again. Sadly no music vibe as our service staff member apologised at the time of seating it was not working apparantly, possibly the heat of the evening. do book in advance for evening seating dining..

Another pleasant start to a theatre matinee. We chose the ham, egg and chips which were excellent value for money given the quantity and quality delivered. The ham was especially good. A very minor gripe would be that French fries are not chips in my opinion but they all start out the same. An always clean eatery with attentive and helpful staff. Being able to order interval drinks and having a reserved table for same is a real benefit. Booking is essential as every time we have been there people can’t get in.

If you’ve been ‘considering’ dining at The Scene before the theatre, stop. Stop considering that is and just do it. We’ve been twice now and been very impressed with both the service and quality of the meals. Definitely try the Tapas, you don’t get the normal meagre portions and very good value as well. Highly recommend you book, you won’t be disappointed.

We were welcomed into the restaurant by two very helpful staff, even though we were a little early. The food was delicious and the staff could not do enough for us. We will come again - thankyou

Good food, basic, but value for money.

This is the second time we have eaten here. The meal and menu choice was varied and of good quality. Staff were friendly and attentive. We would certainly come again pre showr theatre event.

What a pleasant surprise, it was my first time for a pre-show meal here & I will come again. Excellent pork chops & beautifully cooked sword fish & the rose wine was very good too. The staff were so helpful & attentive & so efficient with there service Thank you

A mixed experience. This bistro is quite expensive at £8 a starter and mains £16-£21 Starters of pate and soup were tasty and enjoyed. The mains were disappointing. The fish and chips were pretty tasteless the fish was 75% thick and slightly greasy batter. The fish was also tasteless. Chips average. I only ate about a quarter of my food. I did complain at the time and was told the chef would be informed. Service prompt and friendly

It was a very nice meal , it was nice to be able to find a desert with no eggs in it I am egg intolerant.,

Visited for a pre show meal and just wonderful. Really friendly helpful and efficient staff, well prepared and presented food and great value for money. The waitress even appeared with candles in my wife’s desert when she learned it was her birthday and sang to her ! Well worth a visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-show meal. The food was very tasty and portion sizes were plenty. It was an excellent way to relax before the performance as the foyer was getting full and seats elsewhere were taken. Service was prompt.

The service is prompt and friendly, the food tasty, hot and filled the plate. With the auditorium filling up with excited theatre goers the atmosphere was perfect for a pre show meal.
