Excellant meal,service and a lovely comfortable atmosphere,staff extremely helpful and welcoming.We will definately be returning in the future and recomending to other members of family and friends.

Decent food but poor atmosphere. There was a wedding party there, but I was never informed about this when i booked. I phoned a few days before as I never had confirmation of my booking, but I was still not told. As a result, we could hardly hear what we were saying to each other because of the disco sound system. Had I known there was a wedding, I would have booked elsewhere. Been to Holt hotel before for a meal & enjoyed it so wanted to go back. I travelled all the way from Liverpool, but this experience has put me off a little about going back again

We attended for lunch with two friends. I had pre warned the Hotel that one of the number suffered from Celiac. He and I were extremely pleased that the Chef had gone threat lengths by showing on the menu what could and could not be ordered. We were all so impressed. The service was first class and the food was excellent. Thank you for a very good lunch. Your care and service was exceptional.

Fantastic experience, We really enjoyed it, We had a really lovely carvery & cheese cake to finish off delicious, The Staff were absolutely amazing, can’t do enough for you , we will definitely be visiting again in the near future , fabulous!

Had the 3 course sunday carvery. Starters lovely and were delivered quickly. Went for our carvery food was lovely and fresh. Then the service stopped we eventually had to ask for a desert menu to be told "hang on" she brought the menus we ordered and they were lovely. I understand it was 3pm but once most of the lunch guests had left doesnt mean all the staff should as well.

We had lunch at Hotel Wrexham yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Very tasty food, good surroundings and friendly staff. Especially recommend the halloumi fries.

Visited for Afternoon Tea to redeem a Christmas Voucher. My companion had never experienced the Tradition before and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was extraordinary with balloons and banners and new signage due to the Hotel's relaunch as Hotel Wrexham, plus choirs from Thailand and Africa staying and rehearsing outside in the car park for the Llangolen Eisteddford. Sublime sound. Staff were knowledgable and attentive, and the all-important food was well-prepared, well presented, with doggy bags available. A most memorable occasion. Many thanks.

The ambience of the Hotel was amazing! Beautifully decorated with attentive staff. My meal was good, but waiting at the Carvery was problematic. Too many people in a small place. Just teething problems I am sure.

Excellent Wednesday carvery as we have come to expect. Good food, friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel restaurant is getting busier and going from strength to strength.

had late lunch before the races. young girl on the bar on her own and very busy but pleasant and helpful. Meals rather disappointing, curry very bland and not much chicken and the chicken burger was tough and came with a hash brown on top, very strange. such a shame as its a nice pub in a lovely setting

Superb and just what we needed. Food good. The service was outstanding. Hotel was hosting a large event while we were there but took the time to make our time special too. Big thank you too the lovely lady who ran the bar for looking after us so attentively.

Excellent mid week carvery, equally as good as their Sunday carvery ( if we didn’t have other commitments on Wednesdays we would be there every week). Staff always very welcoming. I would highly recommend Holt Lodge Hotel.

Came for the Sunday carvery. The food and service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Sunday roast is really good value , plenty on the plate , nice pub and excellent service from very friendly staff.

Booked for sunday lunch. Great pub in a fantastic location. Friendly staff and lovely food. Exceptional value for money. If we are back in the are will definitely return and will recommend to those visiting the area
