Friendly welcome, excellent service (Emily), very good food at reasonable prices

We had a family meal which everyone enjoyed the Sunday lunch was very good the service was excellent and staff very pleasant

Excellent Sunday carvery yesterday. Food nicely cooked and it was hot. Staff very friendly and pleasant.

Booked a table for later on in the afternoon on a Sunday the staff were amazing and friendly and the food was amazing

Called in at the "Oak" for Sunday Lunch and were not disappointed. Everything about the visit in this dog friendly establishment was excellent, food, service and ambience and we would certainly recommend the pub to anyone who may never have tried it. Well done to all the team, I can assure you that we will be back.

4 of us had a lovely 3 course meal and wine and the young man who served us was very helpful and friendly an enjoyable night

Myself and 3 friends chose the Lunchtime menu which was very good value for money but the portions were slightly smaller than we expected......the food tasted delicious and there were clean plates all round......it was quite quiet in the restaurant so I suppose it did lack a busy atmosphere but it was perfect for us to chat and hear each other speak...the waitress was lovely and so helpful....even provided me with a cushion for my bad back....you are never rushed there and can take your time with the meal and coffees afterwards.....I am returning for their midweek cavery next week which is fantastic....the car park was very flooded on this occasion but there is plenty of room to park and the toilets are always clean and well stocked....it is our favourite place to go for our lunchtime gatherings so weel done

Read reviews on something else so was expecting much,well they are wrong food was lovely service was good waitress where outstanding.they where very polite.quick service, carvery was very good and tasty, had the Brussels pate to start but that was quite tasteless, partner didn’t like anything on dessert menu so they made him something else.nothing was to much trouble

Treating my wife and sister in law for a Sunday carvery. On the third attempt our drinks order was right. I wouldn’t have thought it possible to get 3 drinks without ice wrong. The Carvery was okay. I arrived at the wrong time as I just had the scrap ends of the turkey which was the only meat I wanted - disappointing. The rest of meal was okay. Service was okay, but not brilliant. I like to leave a tip, but not on this occasion. All that being said, my wife and sister in law enjoyed the meal, and the staff pleasant.

Had sunday cavery 3 of us, service was excellent and food excellent aswell, we all really enjoyed our meals and will return again

My partner and I had a lovely carvery on Sunday. Filled with flavour and plenty of choice. The hotel is getting busier all the time so hopefully this bodes well for their future. I heartily recommend their Sunday carvery. Well done to the kitchen and front of house staff.

Went for the Sunday carvery. Plenty of meats to choose from with generous amount per person and with help yourself to the rest, it was superb and plentiful. Other diners were having plates piled up high with more than 1 Yorkshire pud. For me personally, I chose 1 Yorkshire pud and some (not all) of the many vegetable dishes provided, which was more than enough. Gravy was piping hot and everything was thoroughly delicious. Service was extremely good. Staff were friendly, helpful and on hand at all times. We will definitely be returning

Staff are always so friendly and welcoming Plenty of choice of meat and veg on the carvery always hot. Desserts are a must too

We had Afternoon Tea and it was wonderful. The scones in particular were freshly made, delightful and still warm. The price was also great, would highly recommend it.

Sunday lunch carvery was excellent. Best beef I have tasted of late. Good choice of vegetables and lashings of gravy. Service was very good. Plenty of diners so there was a good atmosphere. All in all very enjoyable.
