Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamSunday lunch. Have eaten here many times. Food excellent - good choice and plenty of vegetables, well cooked and hot. Service below par despite acknowledging the restaurant was very busy. New staff I think and no-one seemed to be in charge. Shown to our table by one waiter and ordered drinks which he didn't bring. Starter served by a different waitress who reordered drinks twice before they eventually arrived. Then another very efficient waitress took over our carvery and cleared away. A long wait for a dessert order brought by our original waiter. Staff need direction and a large room should be zoned so staff aren't just covering the whole room presumably at random. Will think twice before our next visit.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamWe have eaten At the Holt Lodge 3 times now,and haven't been disappointed. The Food,Staff and the Service are all extremely good. The Carvery is the best we've had.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamLoved the Christmas feel to the restaurant and the crackers on the table were a lovely touch. Staff were nice and friendly. Winter soup was divine as was the child's brownie. Carvery was nice but just average, which was a little disappointing. Not a lot of space to get child's food and your own around carvery section. Poor side - I few hard pieces in the cabbage on my plate. I enjoyed my meal, however other members of our party said it was just OK. Guinness tasted off, and wine wasn’t chilled The atmosphere and the staff made the experience better. We would return again.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamNice meal, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended
Royal Oak – WrexhamThe ladies of the line dancing enjoyed the meal and the great service
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamWe booked for the carvery recently and we were not disappointed. Great choice of meat and vegetables. The meat was tender and tasted fantastic. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Great choice of starters and desserts too. Helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamVery busy which is nice to see although made service a bit slow, however the food ,& staff were lovely
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamGreat location for walks before or after, dog friendly, great service and good food, what's not to like. Been there several times, will be going again. Keep up the good work
Royal Oak – WrexhamGreat location, fantastic service and good food, really enjoyed meeting up with old friends at the Royal Oak
Royal Oak – WrexhamThe room was way too hot with no fresh air making it uncomfortable to stay. We did not stay for a desert because of the heat There were no labels on the sauces so unfortunately one of us took horseradish thinking it was bread sauce.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamAbsolutely loved our afternoon with you. The carvery was gorgeous so tasty and fresh. Our wreath making session really did top the afternoon and we came home.with a gorgeous wreath. Coming to the session to take drinks orders would have made the afternoon perfect as it was thirsty work and very warm. Thank you so much for a great time.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamReally enjoyed our stay here, felt very at home & love the bar lounge. Everyone is so friendly and the food was delicious highly recommend.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamWe visited for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent but disappointed by the service. Ignored for too long while waiting to order drinks /food, while others sat after us where dealt with first. Ordered choc cheescake, but when served just put a strawberry one down and said choc run out. What really annoyed us thou was not being given a wine menu and only when bill came found out the two bottles of wine cost £75!
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamWish we had the two courses . We went for the three , all really really nice until the third course , strawberry and apple crumble. After two mouth fulls we both agreed that it was way to sweet and nothing what we expected . Very expensive lunch considering we only ate two courses
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamLunch with friends. Food excellent and great value. The waitress was extremely helpful and, importantly, cheerful. A really good time with long lost friends. Highly recommend Lunch at Holt Lodge Hotel. Wrexham
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamI held my daughters baby shower at Holt Lodge. It was really lovely, the staff were very helpful especially the waitress that looked after our party. The food was amazing. We had the fork buffet, and it was very reasonably priced, and everyone who attended the baby shower said they would come back
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamGreat service, great staff, great food. Will definitely keep going there.
