Set in the delightful surroundings of Edgbaston's listed Asquith House, Pascal's offers city dining with a country feel. Owner and manager Pascal Cuny has nearly two decades experience in restaurant management -- most recently with Michelin-starred Jessica's -- and with Head Chef Jennifer Goff running the kitchen has created an upmarket French dining experience. Pascal's is open for lunch Tuesday to Friday (£18.50, 3 courses) and dinner Tuesday to Saturday (£18.50, 2 courses; £25.95, 3 courses) and the short and uncomplicated menus reflect classic French cuisine with a British twist. All produce is locally sourced and there is a good choice of wines which -- like the food -- offer value-for-money.
