We went to Pushkar on Broad Street in Birmingham last week. I had heard rave reviews about if from my friends, so was very excited about eating something different from the usual balti’s from the local Indian High Street restaurants, and I have to say Pushkar did not disappoint. The food was amazing, it’s all about the flavours rather than the heat of the curry. The waiters were very friendly, they knew the menu very well and even recommended a few dishes to us when we were undecided. One of which was the duck dish that I had which I have to say was absolutely amazing. Normally Indian restaurants let themselves down on the desserts, not here, they had quite a number to choose from including a chocomosa which my friend had (to die for apparently) to the crème brule that I had which was equally superb. It’s not the cheapest of places (when you have the cocktails from their extensive cocktail menu like we did), but it is soo worth it and I really can’t wait to go back.

Pushkar is a classy dining experience which I tend to take my friends to when they visit from out of Birmingham. I've been a few times and my guests are always impressed with the food and can't get enough of the amazing cocktail selection, 6 of us managed to get halfway through the menu!!
Service was great, food was delicious and cocktails were a plenty! What more could we ask for?!
I highly recommend that people try Pushkar, even those, like me who tend to shy away from overly spicy food, most of the dishes we tried were subtly spicy, rather than having the vindaloo over kill you get in some Indian restaurants.
