We had tried a couple of times to eat here but the small restaurant is always over subscribed. The menu which is all on a large board sounds fantastic and you can see the presentation of the food when it comes to other peoples tables, that? enough to make me determined to eat here. I finally made it last week!! The food was superb, I understand that the chef came from the Picture House on Whiteladies and his commitment and passion clearly show. We opted for a main and dessert each, my rich slow braised beef brisket in stout was served with pan fried Calves liver, mustard mash, crispy bacon, greens and curly kale-excellent! My mate chose the crispy pork belly, organic sausage with all the trimmings, again superbly presented and deliciously juicy. puds were very high quality and home made. The Chudpapes was also very good. Staff under pressure but jolly. I look forward to going through the whole menu twice at least and they also serve great real ales.
