A definitive choice in Plymouth for quality and atmospheric dining with a view, located only 5 min walk from the Hoe, this romantic fine diner is run by husband and wife Peter & Debbie Constable and their small team. It’s all about the quality of the local produce served here, a supplier list that reads like the who’s who of producers in a 30 mile radius of the restaurant, Rose Veal, hand dived scallops or Looe day-boat fish anyone? The building is unique and dates back to the early 1500’s set on Firestone bay, the water laps at the restaurant walls, it’s one of the first important military buildings in Plymouth. The daily changing menus offer a great choice of meat and fish yet vegetarians can eat very well here, on Sundays out comes the aged, free range sirloin of beef for a traditional leisurely lunch. The wine list features some greats from small producers, interesting wines you just don’t see very often, artisan cheeses and home-made desserts complete the picture.Awards | 1 AA Rosette
