I took my wife here as we are lovers of Mexican food. It tries to be Tex- Mex but it ends up being, well, rubbish. Starters were ok taste wise, except the calamari was cold (the dish it was in felt like it had been in the fridge) and the nacho type dish I had tasted like tinned foods and had olives and sliced pickled beetroot on top, not that we could see this as we were plunged into darkness by the romantic mood lighting. One complaint and lights back on later it was main course time, thought we'd go for safe dishes, burrito and chimichanga, service was slow again food was like a cheap shops own version of old el paso, bits of pork gristle and no sides except half a shredded lettuce (we were told that's how they do it in Mexico!!)topped with...olives and shredded pickled beetroot. We complained and were told that everyone else was happy and eventually offered a single bottle of beer as compensation. It's about as Mexican as an east end pie and mash shop, avoid at all costs!!! If like us you need a Mexican fix either travel to London and eat at Wahaca or learn to cook your own.
