DO NOT DINE HERE - THE FOOD IS DISGUSTING. (And that's being kind) My boyfriend and I were staying in Torquay for a few days. Not really knowing where to dine out we stumbled upon Marrakech late one Saturday night. On entering the restaurant we were told to wait at the bar to be seated. When at the bar we were told we couldn't order any drinks because the waitress didn't have a table number for us? Apparently paying by cash for your drinks is a no no in this place!! So, we waited, eventually we were seated at a table. So, did the food make up for these poor first impressions of the restaurant? Haha - hell no. I ordered chicken, my partner ordered the Lamb de-fes or should i say - the "Invisible" lamb de-fes, if there was any lamb in there then it was well hidden under layers of bone and fat!! My meal came, completely not how it was described on the menu; i was expecting morroccan veg and potatos, i got - chips and limp salad drowned in oil. Mmmm my favourite. Everything about our meal was awful, it was greasy and tasteless, and if we hadn't of been starving we would've walked out...as the couple on the next table from us did. Would we dine here again? No. The service, the layout, the food - all terrible. Buttered turds would've been more enjoyable!
