Visited the Pukka Indian in South Street tonight. It was quite empty and I was wondering whether I had made the right choice. I noticed that they had a 4 course special offer - any starter, any main course, any dessert and any coffee. Including rice, nan slices and a popadum I though that this was tremendous value. I order lamb Bharzule for starter - the meat was so tender and the sauce was beautiful - spicy and flavoursome. The portion size was very generous too.
For main course I enjoyed Tamarind Chicken with pilau rice, nan bread and popadum. Again this dish was exquisite and the presentation was magnificient. The service was very friendly and attentive and I wa given a 20% off card so that Iwould receive a discount if returning within the next 3 months. It wa so good that I will be back there the day after next. Give it a try and promise that yo will love it.

one of the bad Indians in Exeter. I've been there with my girlfriend and the manager of that restaurant was very cheap and saying wrong language and his body language with my girlfriend was so low. he started talking about her body and age .we will never go back to that rest.........really spoiled my evening ....

Four of us ate at Pukka Indian Exeter on Friday 14th October and we were all really really impressed. I had not been to an Indian Restaurant before but my boyfriend had, he said it was the best he had ever been to. The decor and atmosphere was very cosy/relaxing, the waiters were extremely friendly, polite and just the right amount of attentiveness. We could not believe the effort that went into the presentation of the food - it was so beautiful. The food itself was delicious and there was lots of it! What we couldn't eat was put into boxes for us to take away and we were given a round of complimentary drinks before we left. I can't say enough good things about this place. Go and try if for yourself!
