I have been to The Bourne Poacher twice with my group and each time we have had a great time, food good, entertainment great, look forward to seeing Lee and Bill again when we visit next week with my friends from The Late Breakfast Club, Stockport.

On 28th December 2011 I attended with a mixed group of young at heart people, for the first time. I didn't know what to expect, all coach parties were greeted at the door, by family members. The food was hot, presented well and tasty. The music catered for all, this lovely family consisted of young and hearty, they ensured people enjoyed the entertainment throughout by constantly, randomly getting people of all age's up to dance. Until next time x

I will keep this brief... food is excellent..cooked fresh not from the microwave, venue is ok, not superb but not poor...bit of updating needed, staff are awesome..., the best restaurant i have visited this year, yet the cheapest, staff are worth another mention. 100% perfection as was the food, visit once... you will visit again!!!

I love every minute ,staff are wonderful I live in southport but I am from London and one off your staff was born in London so we had a good chat while dancing, but I loved the fact that this lady (approx 80 ) was sitting on her own and one of the staff asked her to dance, her face lit up and that made her day, and that made me happy. I have been many times now
and always look forward to the next time. the money raised for charity is wonderful and I feel that I have also contributed even if its not much.
The food is great for the price paid and I have not enjoyed anywhere as much as the Bourne Poacher since I was younger.
I love dancing and meeting people and I am a young pensioner who loves to enjoy life.
So thankyou for making many people's lives better and giving them something to look forward to but also helps others too. God Bless and THANKYOU

My mum and my sister attended one of your entertainment afternoons on oct.26 2010 along with a group of senior citizens from formby, merseyside. they both said they had a thoroughly good time and were taken care of admirably by all the staff who found nothing too much trouble. thank you
Craig Beavers.
went to the bourne poacher for a meal and drinks on Sunday sept 6th 2009, a good choice, staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, food was excellent and plenty of it! great place, no juke box, no tv's, a place where we could relax, chat and still be able to hear each other,(not like some places) will be returning very soon.
Well Done
My Mother attended one of your entertainment afternoons yesterday, and i must say that when i visited her this morning she had nothing but praise for the staff and all the hard work and organisation that you had put into make it such a pleasant afternoon. She would certainly like to return again sometime. Thank you.

The "young at heart" party afternoons seem to be a great success. I note that locals tend to steer clear of the venue however due to the perception that the hosts' efforts are aimed solely at these afternoon events, which is a shame. The food is standard pub fayre and reasonably priced although I've noticed that the menu presentation has put people off, unfortunately. I would like to see more effort to attract local customers as the pub side has such great potential. The management team are genuinely friendly and hospitable and it would be fantastic to see them spend some more thought to attracting locals for Sunday Lunches and Christmas Fayre etc. As one of the few independent pubs in the area I would definitely recommend people give it their support.
