fab little gem in st annes...love everything from the sofas to the lattes - great atmosphere day and night - great live jazz music too in the evening

We go often to Silantro, usually for morning coffee which stretches into lunch. A great menu and Phil will cook anything else you fancy. Salads are especially interesting, rather than other 'posher' restaurants who fill plates with lettuce! Even very simple dishes, e.g. mushrooms on toast are v. well done and delicious

I chose Silantro as a birthday party venue to save myself the effort of tidying the house, making food & getting drinks in. Had never been before apart from a coffee but was my best birthday party ever. Lovely nibbles, intimate atmosphere & very friendly service. Great time had by all!

We really like Silantro and it won our "Best Kept Secrets" Cafe of the Month Award in February 2010.

I arranged a surprise anniversary party here for my wife, and I couldn't have been happier with it! Phil was extremely helpful in tailoring the food and the whole evening to our requirements, and the venue is perfect for about 30 to enjoy a relaxed but special feel. Couldn't praise it more highly!

This has fast become one of our fave places for an informal lunch, great fresh food and decent wine.
The furniture looks like it has been reclaimed from a car boot sale (it has) and the loo seems to have been wallpapered with magazines (it has).
Essentially a local repeat clientele which is a great sign.
The owner and staff are great.
Only one problem - the place is too small now it is established.

We love this place, without doubt it is St.Annes best kept secret. The owner is really friendly and will happily create any cocktail you could imagine, all to a great standard. You have to try the Mojitos.Atmosphere is friendly and it is without doubt 'Cool'.

The fish goujons are incredible and the Cajun chicken is to die for. Great place to chill out and the Long Island Tea is a must for any visit! :)

Ace Place! Don't really want to let anyone know how good it is though in case it gets too busy. A good place to chill for all ages. Love the soup, omelettes, cocktails and coffee (but not always all in the same visit) and the service is great too!!!

Friendly place, home cooked food, excellent eggs Benedict and for great value start to the day or snack the poached eggs on toast. Also great in a evening for a chilled out drink were you can converse and feel civilised. Phil is also has a couple of very nice malts you don't see in pubs. Worth a visit if you're a local or visitor to the area. I guarantee you'll go back - we do.
