After visiting steakout a few months ago, my friend and i decided to celebrate another friends birthday there, our table was booked for 8-30, when the menu came we noticed that the side salad we had received on our orders the last time were now on the side orders which was not a very good start the sauce that i wanted had been taken off the menu only to be replaced with one that tasted like oxo cubes, then we were told half an hour after we had placed our orders that they had run out of onion rings and the icing on the cake was that it was 9-45 before we received our steaks and then had to wait approximately 10 mins before receiving our fries by this time the steaks were cold . After building ourselves up for a week and telling our friends what a great place this was and the food was delicious it was a complete shambles from beginning to end never again will i spend my hard earned money there very disappointed

I've visited The Steakout a few times now with friends and my partner, and had such a good time each time I have been! The staff are really friendly, and the food is very tasty with a big main menu catering lots of variety, and a choice of tapas too on the lunch menu! Thursday nights are a definite as the entertainment is really quite brill! Some cracking deals too! Thanks! We shall be back again! Ste and Ang

I had such a brilliant night at The Steakout Restaurant and Bar for my Fathers birthday meal a few Saturdays ago! The food came in perfect time and cooked to perfection, with complimentary nibbles, toasted bread and an array of dips with Pitta on the house to start too, as soon as we took our seats. Our party of 12 ordered an ecclectic range of Steaks and Sauces, and a few mains of the House Specials area of the menu too, which were all fabulously tasty! The atmosphere, ambience and setting I would say really made the night, and made my Fathers birthday all that more special, as the exceptionally pleasant and hard-working staff really went out of their way to cater for our every need! I have since returned on a various occasions to The Steakout, each time leaving with a re-inforced complimentary opinion of the establishment! A brilliant Steak House is just what Preston needs! I have recommended this place to friends and everyone at work! Thank you The Steakout for a wonderful night! :D Tilly X

Brilliant restaurant, very nice staff, brilliant chefs, TAPAS for lunch, and wonderful entertainment on Thursdays! Two steaks, two sides and two sauces for £25 ain't bad either! Thanks The Steakout! Perfect!

I often visit The Steakout at lunch times with my wife, and have been four or five times in the evening since it’s opened with friends too! We just love the place; love the staff, the friendliness, and of course the consistently exceptional food, and great decor! It is definitely our favourite destination to eat because we always get the same great food and atmosphere each time we go, so we know we won’t be let down by half of the other poorer restaurants in the area, without Michelin association. We usually order off the TAPAS menu at lunch times, as there is a long list of options and varieties to keep our taste buds tingling! We pre-ordered our meals a few weeks ago when we went with a larger group on a Saturday night, for a friend’s 40th with about 15 of us, and the food as always was delicious and cooked just how we all liked it, a few steaks, a few house specials etc. This place is exactly what Preston needs. I would recommend going to anybody, especially on Thursday nights as there is always live entertainment on, singers and guitarists etc, fabulously talented! The moral of this story being: Go to The Steakout, if you want a lovely meal for two, or with larger groups, it is fun, and relaxing, and you will no doubt have a wonderful time! George and Eileen. X

My wife and I went on 8th October 2011. The starters were delicious. My main course of chili tiger prawns and lobster was good and my wife's steak with peppercorn sauce and onion rings was also good except that the steak was smothered in the sauce and the onion rings were not good as they were not home made. Packet onion rings are made in pubs and should not be in restaurants. Gordon Ramsay would have hit the roof about that! Overall, pricey and not very exciting.
