Please find this review in regard of the evening weekend restaurant:
I love to cook my own food, and cook it well. I love fresh ingredients and simple combinations that work really well. I like good value for money, filling portions, and I like to know that the service is going to be genuinely pleasant and informative..... which is why I rarely eat out in a restaurant! I often think 'what's the point in going out for a meal when I could enjoy making something at home for a fraction of the cost and to a much better standard?'. So, it is with pleasure that I can highly recommend Surf and Turf Dining. I have eaten there several times and I have always found the aforementioned qualities to be consistently present. With the added bonus of being able to bring your own booze (no corkage fee), it's sad to think that this little gem is not more fully appreciated by Ashton's uncultured swathes who probably don't know a really good steak from a slab of cold spam. However, if, like me, you don't often eat out because it's so hard to find a darn good meal by a chef who clearly has a passion for food, then I urge you to get involved.
At Surf and Turf you will not find a lengthy, pretentious menu which does not live up to the finished product. Neither will you find yourself in luxurious surroundings (admittedly the music could be more classy and relaxing). However, what you will find (aside from it's cleanliness and simplicity) are the things that really matter when you eat out: great service, value for money and most of all, a delicious selection of excellently delivered meals.
