Went to Brasserie Forty 4 on Saturday as birthday treat. Had never been before and had been impressed my reputation-this turned out to be undeserved! The service was unenthusiastic and the toilets were disgusting. They had obviously not been cleaned for weeks! The manager did not seem bothered by our concerns. Will not be back!

Excellent. Vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food. The meat was perfectly cooked. We had a wonderful evening and will be back.

7 of us dined here on Saturday night. Whilst the service was excellent & staff were friendly,we were very disappointed with some aspects of our meals; considering them poor value for money. The presentation of the meals lacked any attempt to please the eye. The rib-eye steaks were bland & unexciting; arriving naked in the middle of an otherwise empty plate. All portions of vegetables cost extra - £2.50 for each portion & were miniscule. In their favour we were not charged for the vegetables & our steaks were reduced in price.

If you are looking for an intimate, relaxed venue with an air of class, this is the place. My lover and I dined here recently and we can? recommend it highly enough. The food was superb. The staff were all surprisingly very friendly and the setting was just perfect, candle lit dining by the canal side. With the Early Bird menu (out by 20:30) it was incredible value for money. A great way to sample the restaurant, just £20 for 3 courses and half a bottle of wine. Fantastic!
Brasserie Forty Four
The food was divine, all served by very polite staff. The presentation of both the venue and the food was first class.
Brasserie Forty Four
Food was very good, especially the chocolate fonde desert.
