Mumtaz Restaurant at the Royal Armouries in Leeds opened in 2009 and is the second restaurant venue for Mumtaz, which opened its original restaurant on Bradford’s Great Horton Street 30 years ago. They spent £2.5 million on this 300-seater venture and it’s the beginning of a planned nationwide roll-out. The group sells takeaway food to major supermarkets across the country and around the world and also produces halal baby food. The new Leeds restaurant offers a similar Kashmiri menu to the Bradford restaurant and incorporates a deli, takeaway, conference facilities and a chilled food counter. Parking at Clarence Dock is free if you bring your ticket and have it stamped at Mumtaz.

Ahmed great place to visit and the best thing was that no bear no wine in the restaurant i salute the owner for being a strong Muslim as the food was great also i was visiting from north carolina , usa and my daughter and niece had recommended to have diner at the place loved it only thing i would suggest is please train ur staff a little more especially the ones who are serving at the tables other wise its a best place in leeds to visit. Munazza Rahim Great food, great service, great decor but great shame that you have to pay to park anywhere near. Also for a restaurant near a busy city centre to be able to compete it shouldn't handicap itself by denying its customers the opportunity to drink alcohol with their meal. No Drinks Licence & your not allowed to take your own drinks in. Sorry but there are too many good Indian Restaurants near by that don't have the drinks ban. Moose excellent service and gorgeous food the restaurant inside looks lovely , great attention to details ! no need to travel to Bradford anymore for great Asian food K.harrison
