Only been here previously for a drink but on Thursday we decided to eat here. Fabulous choice and the food was excellent. The childrens menu was great and my sons Burger was so lovely and fresh. The Rissotto I had was perfect and my husband enjoyed his Gammon with real chips. Will definitely be returning.

I enjoyed a 3 course meal at The Stables which included the best pudding i have tasted for a very long time - rice pudding with clotted cream and home made strawberry jam. Yummy. I would also recommend the chicken dishes - I had Goosnargh roast chicken on a bed of bubble and squeak and mashed potatoes which was fabulous. It's reasonably priced and service is excellent.

Lovely decor and very friendly staff but i must admit the food was a disappointment. Went for my birthday meal with friends and family, 6 people in total, and not one of us was happy. Either the portion sizes were very small, the food was undercooked or it arrived when everyone else had finished their meals. The staff did apologise a lot and gave us free drinks but we would have preferred to just have a nice meal in the first place. I can understand a few mistakes if the restaurant was busy but there were actually only 3 tables including ours!
