I ate here with friends and it was possibly one of the worst restaurants I have been to. The staff were rude and unhelpful, we had dishes piling on our table but they still did collect them, I had to take the dished to the waitress and then she took them in. The food was also atrocious as it was dry and very salty. The drinks were very late, we had all started our main course before the drinks arrived. I don't think I would be visiting again.
The Kenster
Our party of 10 ate here on Thursday 26th February 09. The decor is pretty basic which is more in keeping with a school canteen than a Chinese restaurant. But do not let that put you off because the food is very good. A very good buffet selection with both hot and sour and chicken and sweetcorn soup, BBQ spare ribs, delicious squid in batter and a host of other delicious dishes. All the turines were well stocked and the food was piping hot. With ample drinks of beer and wine our bill was less than £200. The staff were polite and attentive without being obtrusive. We would definitely eat here again.
BASSEM
I was one of a group of more than 12 persons decided to dine at this restaurant. I arrived earlier with my wife and 4 years son so I asked the staff for a small table till they arrange for a one for us all (as they said that it wouldn't be available before half an hour). they refused however to let us sit before the place is ready for the whole group!! there was no waiting area and we were ordered to stand behind some sign just next to the main door! when I tried to disagree as waiting for half an hour in the out area where it's cold (next to an open door) and there's no place to sit would be very distressing, the staff girl talking to me became very rude. I asked for the owner of the place but told that he's not there. then asked to speak to the manager, the same girl told me that she's the manager!! I was appalled by the unreasonable roles and the staff rudeness. later on was pressured by my friends go in with them after I left the place angrily.
The service is way below average as they've got this bizarre system of paying in advance: You should be seated whilst you inform the waitress about the number of people eating in then you must follow her to the bar area to pay and order for drinks!! The food is generally good in variety but the the quality is just average at the best. The setting and atmosphere is simply awful. very poor facilities and dirty toilets. It was a very unpleasant experience. my basic mistake was listening to naive friends rather than the previous reviews.

my first time last week and I was amazed at all the food and salad bar was superb even though I was too full to even attempt that, but I did manage the fruit and ice cream. A BRILLIANT PLACE

All-you-can-eat for £5.50 at lunchtime suggests that quantity becomes more imprtant than quality. And so it does. The quality of food is never going to win any prizes in comparision with food prepared to order, but it's fine for lunch. A reasonable selection of starters (all seemingly deep fried) and salads, and quite a good range of main courses (veggie and non-veggie) and accompaniments. Ice cream and fruit are available as desserts.
Pay as you sit down and keep eating till you burst.

I am a regular visitor. All aspects of eating experience here are good. The price is excellent for the quality & quantity of food available. Absolutely brilliant for small get togethers though booking almost always essential for this to avoid the queues. We're going Greek next time but expect to be back soon.

i visit this restaurant very often, its great value for money you may be waiting for a table for a while at peak times. another downside is the fact that the staff stare at you and wait take your plate before youve finished chewing. but when i comes to getting your bill they take forever.

Unpretentious excellent value Chinese restaurant. Wipe-clean tables, bustling but uncrowded atmosphere. Child-friendly- half-price under 4'11" and they can make up whatever concoction takes their fancy. Waiters helpful and attentive. Food not quite top-class but about as good as it gets for a buffet-style. Kids can't wait to go again. - me neither.
