The place looked great and the food was even better. The new management really looked after us. Will go again when I am in Rusholme for a curry.

Excellent place, fantastic service. Never once were we waiting for anything. The waiter picked for us as we were very indecisive, the waiter (whom I am assuming seemed to be the owner or a manager) made some excellent choices, mine was Chicken Godzilla, and I requested it to be mild. Usually in some place mild means bland, but not here it was lovely with fantastic use of spices and on top were garnished onions. I would say the one thing this place is lacking compared to some on Curry Mile is the heated towels at the end of the meal. It sounds so slight but it does make alot of difference to me anyway.

have been to most of the restaurants on the curry mile, i have to say that Shaandaar is the best we have found, the specials on there menu are Shaandaar exclusive only, my favourite is the chicken Godzilla special, the service is top nosh, the staff make you feel so welcomed, i would have to say my journey to find the best restaurant ends here as i will not be going anywhere else

(and negotiated the price on) The meal was exceptional, the staff friendly and helpful. All in all a fantastic night out, we highly recommend. You will NOT be disappointed.

Shaantaar Restaurant
Shaandaar (with a D) actually. It has a selection of delicious recipes that none of the other Rusholme curry houses seem to have. Look out for the page 'Muky's specials' in the menu. Muky is the manager and a highly entertaining character. There are no desriptions of the different dishes on the specials page but any waiter will enthuse about them and help you pick one to suit. The specials are made up from fresh ingredients to order, unlike a lot of the other restaurants where they pre-cook the sauces int he morning and just slap the meat of your choice into the sauce. My favourite dish has chunks of chicken in a sauce made with lamb mince. Interesting combination. Can't remember the name of it though!
