Being a city centre resident I like venturing into an vast selection of city centre bars and restaurants. Especially ones with outside (smoking) areas have my preference and I have visited this bar on various occasions. Let me start off with saying that I like what they have done to their 'secret garden'. It does make it look more secluded, resulting in less homeless people and students taking over the place. I was however very unimpressed recently by the level of service from their staff. With two people serving behind the bar and only 2 people waiting to be served, they still managed to serve people who arrived at the bar after us on several occasions. Having worked in in the hospitality industry myself it is hardly rocket science to keep an eye on the punters. I fully understand that it takes a while to make a cocktail or latté, but to keep your eye on who is waiting isn't that much of a task. And whilst on the subject of KRO, one of my colleagues had a similar experience where the staff in the Kro venue on Piccadilly is more interested in serving the 'good looking people' first, regardless of who got their first. Please sort your staff out KRO, you have some good venues, suitable for corporate do's and dinner parties, yet for the time being I shall be taking my business, friends and colleagues elsewhere!
