I have now had 2 terrible experiences with this restaurant. The first time - I went in and a clumsy waiter dropped my starter of deep fried mushrooms onto the table, spilling them everywhere, including onto my lap. After I had picked them up and placed them back onto the plate, all he had to say was "Any black pepper with that?" I told him I wasn't going to eat that and he didn't replace the dish and refused me a refund until I spoke to the manager.
That had been a while ago so we thought we would try again, however, the pizza was burnt, the bolognese was dry, the service totally appalling. After 30 years of working in the restaurant trade myself, I have never encountered a ruder waitress. She barely spoke to us, except to interrupt to bark "what d'you want?!" intimidatingly at my youngest child when I was still ordering, had a very abrupt manner when placing food down so that it thumped off the tables. When she was clearing the table, she dropped a fork, it landed right onto my daughter's wrist in her lap injuring her and staining her t shirt. Instead of apologising, the waitress said, "you know I didn't mean it, right!"
I gave this place a second chance hoping that the first was a one off, but I can see that they just don't care to train their waiting staff properly, it's a shame because it can be such a nice place but the standards are so low now.

Have eaten in this restaurant for years, in a crowd, with family, on a date, when i have dumped someone..
Always fab food, great wine, and friendly 'real Italian' hospitality.
Makes me feel like I am in the Sopranos.... a real taste of Italy.
