very nice restaurant nice food , the customer service was great.
Lahore Karahi – Balti TriangleThis was a great place to eat out, The service was second to none and the staff were very helpful. The food - well I only had ramen but that was awesome! It was easy to find as we were told by the sushi bar in selfridges that they did ramen which was what I was looking for.
Wagamama – Birmingham City Centrethe service was not good at all. there was a group of 20. waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for starters and then a further 1 hour for our main course. the bill arrived in three parts the two first arrived with the drinks and main meals and then half and hour later a separate bill for the rotis and nan breads. the service was absolutely diet and will not recommend this place to no one. furthermore once we complained to the manager she was so rude and insulting. will not ever attend this restaurant again.. even her employees were sick and tired of her and walked out at the end of her shift..
Deolali – MoseleyWe arrived to find Shanahans is in the middle of an industrial estate, however for the price we'd been quoted we still went on inside. Once inside there was people smoking inside (which I believe to be illegal) we were then told to grab a drink whilst we were checked in. 5 minutes later we were told as there were "only 10 of us they had let our rooms to a group of 25 because it would make them more money" honest but shocking as we had booked months earlier. Fortunately we found a travel lodge nearby which was only £65 for a three bed room and very clean and hospitable. My advice would be if you want an unclean badly located place to stay don't book in advance but try Shanahans.
Shanahans Bed and Breakfast – Astoni went on a Friday night with my coworkers and one of the waiters recommended a chicken dish called chicken jhul it was mouth waveringly delicious the chicken was Succulent and the nan was so fresh it was just brilliant i cant wait to take my family there for wonderful meal.
Jilabi Indian Restaurant – Sheldonnice waiters, especially the bar man who has worked there for many months now, great atmosphere, great place nice and safe. u cant miss it, guaranteed it will be the best curry house you went to as well as the best night of your life!!! :D
Harborne Tandoori Restaurant – HarborneHave enjoyed eating hear for a few months now but both my partner and i are suffering from terrible food poisoning from a recent meal there.
Shalbon Indian Cuisine – Sutton Coldfieldabsolutely lovely quick hot food. so Indian and so much like places in India... i would recommend this to anyone especially vegetarians..! delicious... and even better when you can sneak it into the cinema!!
Shobhas – ErdingtonHi All Food: Exquisite, Tasteful Atmosphere: Serene, Cosy, Subtle Customer Service: Very Good Other comments: The restaurant is not so obvious to get to, but once you are there it is a nice open floor plan. Subtle shades of wine-red and off-white cream. Open kitchen The chairs were comfortable to sit on but not nice to lean back in with a soft cushion base but a solid wooden back. The food was exquisite, served in a timely manner, and nowhere near as pricey as it could be for such tasteful food. Unfortunately, I was so full of Indian food, that was unable to begin on the Italian. However, it is a perfect reason to keep me coming back for more. The Service was very good, we were interrupted nearly 2mins of receiving our food which I think it was a bit too soon to be asking that. However, there was always someone on hand if we wanted more food or drink. Overall Score: 4 out of 5 Weblink: http://www.duetcuisine.co.uk/
Duet Cuisine – Fort Dunlopits great and i will go again
Dads Lane Fish and Chip Bar – MoseleySeriously classy but not stuffy restaurant, with gorgeous food, fantastically attentive but subtle service and a great selection on the menu. It worked equally well for the romantic meal for two when I was first taken here, and for the group meal for twelve when we were seated at a large table - the exemplary service came into its own on this second visit with all food served at the same time and piping hot - beautifully prepared. Will be returning frequently!
Royal Watan – Selly OakHaving tried almost everything on the menu to try and find something that I liked, they failed to impress, it all tastes the same, waiters can't be bothered, they just want you in and out as soon as possible, don't ask for a drink after 11.15,you will be ignored. Try somewhere else
Monsoon Restaurant – Kings NortonMy experience at regards was brilliant. the food was to the top of standards and the service was outstanding. one of the waiters i liked was Saj a very pollite and entertaining person. the restaurant looks incredible as it is decorated with warm colours and excellent artwork. i advise people to give it a try. trust me you wont be disappointed.
Regards Restaurant – Sutton ColdfieldWe tried Pizza Express upon recommendation and was deeply disappointed. Sparse toppings and tasteless starters really put me off eating here again. Having been loyal for 16 years really had no bearing at all. The manager said he had worked hard to achieve a good work ethic but had been let down by superiors. It really has gone downhill, new owners continue to make money while suffocating the people who make that money for them. Wildfire in Paradise Forum really is the place to go, tasty starters, generously topped pizza and a relaxed atmosphere is the way forward.
Pizza Express – Birmingham City CentreThis is by far the best take away in the area, a great and extensive range. No big pot of curry sauce with bits thrown in here. Good food cooked well, by chefs that care.
Balti Cottage – Stirchley"We usually have a nightmare finding a restaurant that caters for my husband who is a vegetarian and myself who isn't. We have only found one that we regularly go back to in Birmingham until last night when we visited Ulysses. There was a huge range of starters for both of us, and a full page of vegetarian dishes. We started off with cocktails and were going to have a bottle of Greek wine, the wine list being extensive but as the cocktails were so nice we decided to stay with them, we tried four, all of them delicious. The starters were fantastic with the side salad crisp, no wilting lettuce here in a tasty dressing. I had slow roasted lamb which literally fell off the bone, juicy and tender. My husband had vegetarian souvlaki, which makes a change from the usual wishy washy offerings in other restaurants. I cant praise the food enough, you really need to try it yourself. Once you walk on the spotless red carpet you are led to a deceptively large dining area which manages to be intimate and spacious at the same time. It was a pleasure to eat there and we will definitely returning on a regular basis. They even have a night with Elvis in February. We had two cocktails each, three starters and a main meal each for less than £55. Great place, excellent service, fantastic night out. "
Ulysses – Birmingham City CentreIt's said that Greek fish and chips and world class. Well Dad's lane is no exception. Some of the finest food in the country comes out of this little Stirchley fish and chip restaurant. With Pedro's legendary reputation, some people have been known to travel the length of the whole city to get the quality that only Dad's Lane provides. If you want the best, then look no further.
Dads Lane Fish and Chip Bar – MoseleyI eat regularly at Wing Wah, for Dim Sum, hot pot and buffet. I booked a party of 40 people in their newly opened fine dining room, it was done up so sophisticated, the menu is not like the usual stuff either. I must say that the Wing Wah is one one the best restaurants that I have been to.
