I took my sister for a meal here and all I can say is great stuff! The waiters/bar staff were friendly and had a laugh with them and the presentation of the food was fab!

Christ, you don't expect Michelin star standard food at a place like this but for the price what I would expect is tasty simple pub food, that a child could muster and is it too much to ask for pleasant customer service? I will be going to The Wishing Well tonight for my child's birthday and I am now regretting this decision on what has been previously written. I will leave a post visit review afterwards and as before I suspect it will be overly negative.

I was looking for a place to stay near our company’s Bristol depot last Wednesday night and came across Berwick Lodge on Sugarvine. Certainly far more ‘country house hotel’ than I would usually stay at a on a business trip but so much the better. I stayed in a room up in the eaves which was lovely even though I did have to remember to duck! Ate off the bar menu as the restaurant was busy with a large group but the food was very good. Recommended.

Treated a relative to lunch in this newly refurbished restaurant. Lovely meal, beautifully presented, fair price and great service. Would thoroughly recommend.

Food really good, burgers and steak from local butcher and you can tell all food cooked to perfection. Drinks very reasonable, only downside no outside space but hey winters coming. Great pub.

Hi there, when to this pub for Sunday lunch on 13/7/2014 to have Sunday roast. I was shocked to see chicken was not on menu as a Sunday roast. My partner ordered food and my ageded mother in law order lamb roast dinner. When this came out it was meat that she couldn't eat, in fact I wouldn't have given this to my dog, we paid £13.99 for this meal which she couldn't eat when this was brought to the staffs attention they just said sorry end of. I won't be using this pub again and ask every one that's thinking of going there to check this out. Bad service if something goes wrong they don't want to know.

I visited your restaurant this saturday, I noticed that the restaurant wasn't very busy. When we ordered our food we were surprised to be told that there was a half hour wait for food, as there was only about 10 people there. We ordered drinks all soft ones I may add, my diet coke smelt very sstrongly of spirits, I complained and was told that they have had alot of complaints about it. So I had to have regular coke, as I am not a drinker and think this should be sorted. Also all the food was cold and overcooked, I would not recommended this to anyone.

We came to the wishing well today and was pleasantly surprised to see it was busy but no where near full so found a table and we sat and chose what we wanted. My dad went to the bar to get the drinks and order the food which he had to wait and the manager put the order through explaining it would be a 20 minute wait for the meals. which we were happy to wait, we sat enjoyed our drinks waiting for the food to come, after waiting 20 minutes a mamber of staff came out to apologize and explain they have NO STEAK in the building conssidering we had ordered 4 meals with 3 being steak meals. so we chose alternative meals and my dad went back to the bar to claim a refund as what we had now chosen cheaper meals so asked for a refund this seem to cause a problem with the staff as the first person couldn't do this when eventually the young man that had changed the order came he handed my dad a £5 and said "ive been told to give you this" we asked if that was the correct amount as he didnt put anything through the till and this was short of what the difference was. we then enquired to how long the meals would be as by this time we had been waiting over 30 minutes and was told it would be at least another 20 minutes which we were unhappy as we had a young baby and pregnant woman in the group who was geting hungry so we cancelled the order and asked for a refund which was given. we wont be going back to the resutant again as the customer service was rubbish surely if something is out of stock they should tell you at point of ordering the food and not when the customer is expecting to receive the food. a very unhappy family.

Me and my partner visited this pub at approx. 6.30pm last night and sat on table 11, we ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. Food review - Starters were fine, mozzarella sticks and chicken bites, I think maybe the reason why these were so nice was because it was ‘easy food to cook’ (thrown into a fryer). Our mains were, a mix grill and a ultimate burger, the chicken both in the burger and the mix grill was chewy and hard in places, seemed as if this had been cooked previously and then re heated in the microwave. The gammon was the thinnest piece of gammon I have ever seen, and the egg and peas were cold. Chips on both plates came in a cup… who wants their chips put into a normal drinking mug? I think when you pay £15.00 for a mix grill you expect the meal to be filling, tasty and good value for money. Service – Firstly, the lady that had served us on the bar was very nice, Sophie I think her name was. But unfortunately this all went to pot after our starters were brought out to us, we weren’t checked on, neither was our starter plates cleared. Our mains were brought out to us, put on the table, and still our starter plates weren’t cleared. We both sat after eating our food, waiting to see if again we would be checked on on our main meals, so that we could raise our concerns about the cold food on my partners plate in particular, again this didn’t happen. Sadly my partner sat and ate the food stone cold and didn’t enjoy it one bit. The funny thing was that, there were only three or four tables in the restaurant last night, surely this should have meant better customer service than we received, so really there is no excuse as to why we felt so neglected whilst trying to enjoy our first wedding anniversary meal at somewhere where we thought we would have an enjoyable meal. This seems a real shame as 5 weeks ago we came and had food with you, and the food was amazing hence why we chose to come back to you. Very unhappy with this experience and very disappointed.

Have had takeaways from here a number of times and they just get better and better. One of our family is unable to eatr dairy products and tomatoes so Indian meals are often difficult, but not a Moguls. The staff bend over backwards to prepare a brilliant, tasty and legal curry that she can eat it. The food is freshly prepared and very very good. Thank you Moguls for the Brilliant service :)

Hi Tony I am only acquainted as a brewer- they stock a couple of our beers. My review is based on one evening that my partner and I really enjoyed there, when the beer I was drinking was £2 a half . Why don't you ask them directly about where they source their cheeses ? That would put an end to the speculation. Regards

Totem, I'm curious how "most" of the cheeses could be sourced from Neal's Yard when Neal's Yard doesn't even carry several of the cheeses on the board (some being exclusive to Pong). Also their house beer must be the only beer there at 2.00 per half pint. I was charged well in excess of 3.00 for a half a pint of Magic Rock Rapture (4.6) which is nowhere near the 9 abv you suggest. Am I right in thinking you're actually an friend/employee of Culture and Cure?

Our new favourite ! We had some lovely cheeses ( I asked the owner , and most are sourced from Neals Yard), and some of the really beers are £3 a half but that was for a 9 beer! I also tried a delicious half of their own beer which was £2 a half. We also ordered the salmon and beef from The British Tapas menu , which was gorgeous. Well done - we will be back with friends.

An impressive opening selection of craft beer and drinks but be warned the prices in their menu are not what you will be charged (2.00 per 1/2 pint listed in the menu, in reality well over 3.00). There is also a very high mark-up on bottles.Their cheeses are priced at 5.50 each (per tranche) which exceeds even prices in central London gastro-bars/specialist cheese cafes (e.g. Antidote, Androuet). This might be defendable if the sourcing/affinage were exceptional but as far as I can tell most of their cheese just come from Pong which you can order yourself online for a fraction of the price.
