Libelula

Nice, ambient lighting, cosy, local artwork on walls, etc. Staff not massively attentive at times. Food is good but we only had nibbles so can't really say. Great range of Belgian beers and gorgeous cocktails (Avon Gorge Mudslide/Chocwork Orange a must...).

I recently took my mother and her friend to eat at the Sherston on Mothers Day, the restaurant has been refurbished and the new owners have hired an OUTSTANDING chef. I particularly recommend the Oven Roasted Flat mushrooms, stuffed with stilton and wrapped in Parma ham on salad (it was a special starter), only 4.50 -bargain!

We were staying in Bristol for the weekend and found this restaurant on this web sight and booked because of the previous recommendation. We were so pleased with it that we went back the next evening. We were so well looked after. The food was plentiful and of an excellent quality. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. It is busy and you would have to book unless you went after 9.00pm. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it .

My gf and I went there on a Sat night and it was our first time in Bath. The ambiance was just right for an intimate couple even though there were small groups about. The setting is homely rather then plush but the lighting made it more intimate. The food is awesome! We had just one starter (gf doesn't eat alot!) but the main course of Pork belly and duck were deeelicious! Overall we would definitely go back there again and for lunch as we should then be able to see the wonderful view of the river. Total cost including a bottle of wine and 1x dessert was £44.

Many thanks to all at Sousta's following our visit last night to celebrate our Daughters 18th Birthday. The evening was excellent, the food and service was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The quantities and quality of the food was second to none. Best to starve for a day or so in order that you can do justice to the fare on offer when you visit Sousta's. This was our first visit but rest assured it wont be the last. Can't wait till next time.

We loved this place. Sorry we just ate here one time, we had our time schedule full for our stay in Taunton. I hope you will take good care of all your employers, Graham gave us a special treatment, by driving in front of us all the way to SCAT and back again. THANK YOU! Your really knew what we needed that day.

I dined at Firehouse for the first time last week, when I visited Bath with a friend. We were both really impressed with the excellent food. The restaurant? dishes revolve around a Californian/Pacific South West theme. We decided to try the restaurant? staple dish: the Rotisserie. Our free range chicken was flavoured with herbes de Provence, crispy bacon, lemon and Dijon tarragon aioli. Our side orders of fries and a spicy coleslaw were perfect. In the future, it would be lovely to have a branch of this restaurant open near my home in London - I am having cravings for more of their roast chicken already!

Already knew the format of Ask restaurants and like the food. However, this restaurant has a fantastic lounge bar with comfy leather seats and good lighting. The food was great as usual (excellent Chevre Grill and pizzas). Service was very good and tables aren't too close together and lighting the restaurant is really good and the cost in very good. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back.

Visited Thai Balcony on 12.3.07 for the first time. Had a wonderful window table, which was fantastic. The set menu for 2 was fresh, colourful and tasted superb. Staff were incredibly helpful and very efficient. Will definitely be visiting again.

Ahmed's Curry Cafe

This is one of the best curry houses in Bristol. The food is always very fresh and the take away food every bit as good as that served at the table. The popularity of this little restaurant is a measure of its quality. The garlic naans are superb - as good as anywhere in the world - and I have travelled. The chilli garlic chicken is a must. For the veggies the big metal platter thingy is really good - in fact its all excellent.

Heard the buzz, so had to check it out. Liked it, really liked it. Only had drinks in the top bar, but the restaurant is certainly on my list of things to do in the next month. Found it friendly, relaxed and had a great little vibe to it. And I'm a stubborn and hard to please git.
