The Railway Inn – GlastonburyA great meal,i highly recommend this trendy, friendly restaurant. My girl friend said it was the best meal ever ! had, maybe my best curry for a long time. Very friendly helpful staff, can't wait until i'm in Bristol again.
Oh Calcutta – Bristol City CentreSuperb meal. Very tasty vegetarian moussaka. Included in price was rice & a Greek Side Salad. Friendly staff. Murals of Greek Scenes and Greek Music transported us to Greece!!!
Kebab House The – Bristol City CentreGreat day time cafe offering lush food so mouthwatering and scrumptious we couldnt leave a morsal!! Easy going relaxed and informal cafe which feels like your at home. And the cakes!!- that is the only problem you just dont know which one to choose they are all filled with cream jam and spilling with fruit!!
Primrose Cafe and Bistro – CliftonBell's Diner produces the best food in Bristol by a country mile. I have been here many times and never once been less than overwhelmed. Everything on the plate, from the perfectly-cooked texture of the meat/fish, to the big punchy flavour of the sauces, to the immaculate presentation, screams of expertise and genuine care. To be fair, you may need to bring an adventurous palate and the (still reasonable) prices prohibit coming here all the time, but for a memorable fine dining experience there really is no other option. The staff are friendly, open, and knowledgeable without being prim or pretentious. I cannot recommend it enough, I really can't.
Bells Diner – Bristol City CentreExcellent food a really enjoyable meal for a very reasonable price, will definitely eat here again.
Mai Thai – Bathi have become a regular at bar celona, the whole place is alive. if you go there on a wednesday and a sunday there is live music so me tend to go up for a meal and then go to the other half where the music is later. top place. would recommend to anyone
Bar Celona – KingswoodMy law firm had a dinner party there - 14 of us in a private room. Was a great experience. Food and service wonderful and very plush surroundings.
Goldbrick House – Bristol City CentreExcellent Sunday carvery, very popular, booking advisable
Full Quart – Weston Super MareThe best Italian restaurant in Bristol - lovely waiters, fantastic food. The alcoholic sundae is essential
Zio – Cliftonwaldegrave arms at east harptree must be the biggest secret ever as the food was soo good and everyone was so friendly . it was a warm spring night the kids were out in the very safe garden my husband and myself had a very relaxing time. and the kids loved it . fantastic keep going we loved it
Waldegrave Arms The – Blagdoni went for a meal at the 4DQ bisto last week i had a very nice meal, the menu has a range of different foods, we had a drink before are meals in a quiet yet comfortable bar. the bar and waiting staff were all very helpful and friendly making you feel comfortable.
4DQ Bistro @ The Corner House Hotel – TauntonGreat location opposite the sea front, lovely well kept walled garden, ideal for kids, real ale and a large menu choice in the pub. Also additional upstairs al la carte restaurant - untried.
The Smuggled Retreat – MineheadJudging by the other reviews, this place seems to have deteriorated somewhat. The curries were of a good standard but not exceptional. The service was pretty good though not great. The ambience was lacking but the style of the place was entirely different from anywhere I've been before (in a good way). The main problem I found was that the 'pilau' rice had a distinct taste to it which was rather unlike I've had before and was not to my satisfaction. Overall, an enjoyable experience but not one that I will be repeating in a hurry.
Oh Calcutta – Bristol City CentreStayed Sat night at the hotel. Very friendly, hard working staff. Rooms very clean, recently refurbished. Restaurant good, nothing fancy but good. Live entertainment on some evenings. We saw a singer who was excellent and had everyone dancing etc. Good breakfast in the morning too.We paid £39.50 per person for B&B. Had room with sea view.
Mentone Hotel – Weston Super MareWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this friendly restaurant in Bath. It was great to see the food being freshly prepared in the open style kitchen. The menu was different, very difficult to choose, which is always a good sign! We chose the crab and salmon cakes which were delicious, served with a surprisingly tangy salsa, a superb spicy chicken which was served with a chilli spiced coleslaw, and our teenagers had very filling pizzas with nicely different toppings. Wine list good too. The staff couldn't have been nicer and we will definitely revisit next time in Bath. Please open one in Truro!!
Firehouse Rotisserie – BathWe order take away from Omar? weekly or sometimes more often. The curry always has large chunks of meat and the naan breads are excellent, the rice is cooked to perfection and they make the best bhaji's we've ever tasted. The delivery service is rapid and the food is always piping hot.
