Excellent service and food

We recently had dinner for two at Goodfellows at 7B. We cannot fault the evening. The restaurant is beautiful with very comfortable seating. The atmosphere was relaxing whilst the staff were extremely knowledgeable, attentive and professional. Everything we ordered was amazing, with perfectly balanced flavours and textures. A decent selection of wines accompanied the food menu. We could not recommend this restaurant more highly and will be going back very soon.

Great food. Helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere, warm and comfortable. However forgot our drinks. Eventually got them just before the food came. All OK until the bill came and we had to pay for drinks seperately as they weren't added to the table. Oh and we tried to pay for all drinks but bill missed one off so we got it free! Just a tad chaotic.

What a fantastic experience! The staff, food & venue were spot on. Everybody was so friendly and accommodating. It was lovely to have the Chef presenting & describing the next course, with an excellent choice of wine. A wonderful dining experience. Thank you.

I've lost count how many times we've been to this fabulous restaurant - it's a much anticipated treat every time The food is fabulous - of the courses last night, I'd want every one of them again The wine flight is brilliantly thought out The music helps suck any pretence out of the night ... Viola Beach, The Cure ... The service is a masterclass.

Excellent no fuss restaurant in the centre of Wells. Delicious food and we were well looked after.

Our 2nd visit to MGJ, loved it as much as the first.. Food was excellent, my favourite was the Hagis pie, served with a roasted kidney on top, all courses were amazing though. Staff were attentive and friendly, lovely place to eat and it remains one of my Fav restaurants. Looking forward to going again...

We were recommended to this restaurant by The Beryl Hotel for our wedding anniversary dinner, we hoped it would be special, it was amazing. A cozy and intimate setting, very personal and attentive service and food that was truly out of this world. Thank you all so very much! X

Flavoursome food well presented by friendly staff in clean and informal surroundings. This is not a stuffy restaurant.

Another absolutely delicious lunch - this time Goodfellows Special Sunday lunch. Goodfellows at 7B is our 'go to' restaurant in Somerset and we never want to eat anywhere else. Chef/Owner Adam's style and flavours are astonishingly good, and the quality and standard is consistently excellent and second to none, and the welcome and service in their elegant dining room is super. What more can we say, except we love, love, love Goodfellows Restaurant! Can't wait until the next time...

My first visit to the Olive Tree with my husband & was very impressed. Beautiful good quality food, excellent service with very friendly happy staff. Lovely classy interior with good atmosphere. Will definitely be returning & recommending to friends & family.

The initial table allocated was next to a door that was constantly being opened to outside causing cold sir and making if uncomfortable. I added to be moved. Was told only other table was upstairs even though there were 2 others still unoccupied on ground floor. Accepted offer but was concerned that on going to the stairs it was a spiral metal staircase and my mobility us not great. We were seated next to another service door which staff kept necessarily accessing causing more draugh and in general it was a lot colder upstairs . Service was somewhat chaotic for several reasons eg. Wrong sauce, had to remind them to bring wine etc. However the food was good but would not revisit, even though staff reasonably pleasant. Felt resturant was badly laid out.

Our 3 rd visit to MGJ and never disappoints , very relaxed atmosphere , all staff friendly and attentive and more than happy answer or pass on questions about the food and Gordon himself gets very much involved , looking forward to coming back again
