Good service, lovely food, relaxed ambience

We came for Xmas Eve breakfast with all the family for the second time and it was fab! Great food, all arrived piping hot and at the same time and good portions. The granddaughters faces when the French toast with chocolate sauce and strawberries turned up was a precious moment! Thank you once again and merry Christmas to you all x

I entertained two friends for lunch on a busy Saturday before Christmas. The service was great, very friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent choice for all courses. House wine also very good. We all agreed it was the best meal out we'd had for a long time. We'll be back.

I visited with a friend who is a vegetarian and had been telling her how good the vegetarian burgers were ,not realizing that they didn't do them on a Saturday. The waitress said she would ask the kitchen,they agreed to do them even though they were very busy. So good to have this restaurant in Martock that puts it's self out on every count. Everyone should eat here. Every dish was served with love thought and attention. The staff were superb in their descriptions of the dishes and to enjoy this food in such an intimate setting was a delight. Nothing could be improved. It was one of the most enjoyable food experiences we've ever had and I just want to thank Gordon and the team for delivering in such an exceptional way.

As always an exceptional experience with exceptional food. We had a celebratory lunch and each time we come to this restaurant, Gorden always brings something more to the party! Everything we ate was cleverly thought out, constructed and cooked to perfection. The attention to all the details including the wine flight ensures a truly memorable occasion

Our second visit to the Olive. We didn't think the food could be better than it was on our first visit, but we were wrong. It was sublime! If I had not been in public, I would have licked my plate! Can't think of a single thing I would fault. Very friendly staff. Can't wait to go again.

Absolutely love this place it’s definitely one of our favourites , we love the setting the food is always so delicious and faultless . The service is excellent love that there is always something different on the menu, highly recommend it . We will definitely be returning regularly.xx

Lovely food and atmosphere, staff very helpful and friendly

I went to GJ's last night with the girls for our Christmas treat. It was a perfect evening. Amazing service - really amazing service actually - and the food was so good and really interesting - absolutely delicious!! Each course was explained to us - the cocktails were great too. Have been before and it was equally as good the first time. Plus we were dorky and asked Gordon to sign the menu for us - which he was so happy to do. We had a great night thank you and we will be back.

There is nowhere on earth we'd rather eat! We have been coming to Goodfellows for many years and it has never been less than wonderful. Shout out for the excellent sommelier, as well.
