Great restaurant Lovely staff Great food well cooked Really enjoyed the visit

Another delicious Fishers, fish supper! We had scallops, excellent mussels in a creamy sauce and haddock with salad instead of chips. All very fresh, delicious and charmingly presented to us. So sad they’re closing in December but we will try and get more meals in before then, and also Buy delicious bits and pieces from their wet fish counter.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch (29th October) great lunch, met the chef, hardworking and interested in bringing good food to Wells, as are all the staff. Wine was lovely and our autumnal crumble was delicious- so thank you, and a special thank you to Simon and Owen who are on hand for anything you need together with being friendly and great fun. Like Arnie- we’ll be back!

Lovely intimate and stylish setting for a wonderful meal. We loved the attention to detail and beautifully cooked food. The Albariño was also delicious!

My husband and I were visiting friends in Wells last Saturday for the city literary festival. We booked a table at The olive tree for an early dinner at 6. My husband is a wheelchair user but from the minute we arrived the staff were genuinely friendly accommodating and helpful. We had two courses and were totally delighted by the quality of the food. The hake was particularly delicious and it was all presented really well. Aware that we had limited time due to the literary festival the staff were very efficient in serving our food so we could leave on time. We had a really wonderful meal and I would highly recommend the restaurant and look forward to returning

Celebrated my sister’s 30th birthday here. The staff were friendly and the quality of the ingredients were fantastic. Only issue we had was my order was missed and subsequently arrived after everyone had finished their main meals and unfortunately was undercooked too. The staff did deal with it quickly, but we felt the service was quite slow for the price we paid, and felt they could have provided something as a gesture of good will.

The full marks say it all. We have been eating Adam’s food for well over 18 years and it never fails to disappoint, his sauces make me do a finger sweep.

We have been privileged to enjoy Adam's exceptional culinary skill since he was chef at Charlton House. In all that time (over many, many visits) the standard of cooking has been consistently high. The accent is on taste, texture & the balance of flavours. We always feel so much better for eating here, in fact restored, which reflects the true meaning of the French word 'restaurant'. The service is excellent & the atmosphere in the new premises welcoming & comfortable. May not be the cheapest, but it represents exceptional value because we have dined at other similarly priced or even more expensive restaurants where the food is not nearly as good.

Good to have a first class restaurant in Wells. like to see more people and atmosphere would then be great.

We like Fishers restaurant. Have eaten there on five important occasions. And have bought fish from the counter. We want to support a local business. Unfortunately on Friday we were rather disappointed The service was very slow: 50 minutes before our starters arrived. Another 20 minutes before the main course. The fish was a bit overcooked too. It is not cheap either. I hope improvement can be made. One last chance. From us.

A perfect place for lunch if one likes fish/seafood particularly if there is a need for gluten- free food. Excellent food and friendly service

Had a wonderful late lunch at The Olive Tree. The food was amazing and extremely tasty. We had the chicken and the pork followed by the chocolate and lemon desserts. Fabulous service, great hospitality and highly recommended. We will be back perhaps to sample the dinner menu as that looks delicious too!

Had a delicious 3 course meal at the Olive Tree on 20th October. Service and quality of the food was excellent, would definitely recommend and visit again when we are in Wells.

Interesting menu with a good range of choice. Beautifully presented and delicious dishes. Stone bass was splendid. Chocolate delice fabulous as was the tarte tatin. Picpoul de pinet wine was sublime.

We had a wonderful evening at The Olive Tree celebrating my mums birthday. The service was warm , accommodating, engaging and efficient , the food (menu choice, quality, presentation, value, flavours) excellent, the wine delicious, and atmosphere buzzing and vibrant but not too loud that we had to raise our voices - we will definitely come again and also recommend it to friends and family

The meal we had was excellent and we have booked to bring our best friends due to fact it was so good. The young man that served us on Thursday was excellent and very welcoming and informative sorry I did not ask his name.

Went for dinner in October. Menu was lovely using local ingredients and reflecting the season. Mushroom and stilton soup was delicious. Overall good food, good service, decent price.
