What an amazing and intimate experience! My partner booked a room at Beryl Country House it was my role to pick an equal or better restaurant. Apparently I did good! Classily decorated, really intimate. Kitchen in full view. Front of house staff attentive, but not intrusive. Food: out of thise world. We had spent literally an hour deciding on line what we were going to have. When seated the menu had changed. Not a complaint. It was a great talking point for us. Never had food like it. Best sauce I’ve ever had on duck. All perfectly cooked. I’m a starter main course person. My partner, main course, dessert. Was offered cutlery to share both starter and dessert. A great touch (we didn’t take up the offer). Flavours were out of this world and portion sizes were perfect! VFM? Absolutely. Thanks, team. We will be back!

we had another delightful evening at 7b. All the dishes on the 5 course tasting menu were superb and complimented beautifully by the wine selection. The attention to detail is first class.

However many times I go to this fabulous restaurant no words of mine can adequately describe the superb experience I always have. The ambience, the service and foremost the brillant cooking make it a truly wonderful restaurant It is very much a six star establishment

Booking through your website was easy, clear and simple The welcome we received was warm without any gushing and we were given enough time to settle before ordering an aperitif. We ordered in our own good time having had helpful answers to our menu questions. Each course arrived without rushing us and before any anxiety set in! Food and wine were both excellent as was the ambience and smiley helpfulness of the staff. The only thing I didn't like was that a discretionary service charge was included in the bill. I always prefer to tip the individual for service given over and above what one can reasonably expect from the standard of the establishment at the prices charged and to do so in cash without VAT etc. It is a personal thing between customers and the face to face staff

Love this place. Really lovely relaxed atmosphere created by the team - and the food was second to none. Couldn’t fault it. Will come back to Wells just to eat here again.

Extremely difficult to fault this establishment. The food choices, the quality of cooking, the service and the premises are excellent. It’s a long way from our home but well worth the journey.

Absolutely superb. Food is delicious and beautifully presented. Service is quick, friendly and efficient and the new venue is intimate and cosy. Eaten at Goodfellows many times and always love it. Haven't found anywhere locally that is anywhere near as good. Outstanding value for this quality of food

We visited the restaurant last Wednesday as a party of 6, had one of our best evenings out for a longtime, the food was excellent and the attention given to us by the owner and lovely waitress was way over what you expect these days. Thank you as well for the care you showed to one of our party with mobility problems. Would highly recommend Fisher for a unique and special experience, nice to see how expert the owner Allison ( I think ) is on all matters relating to gluten free food ) we will be returning on our next visit to Bristol.

Came to celebrate my wife's birthday on 2 September having read good reviews. However, our experience was not a good one. Took a while to take our order after having given us the menu First wine selected was not available as it had not been chilled long enough - surprised they only had one bottle of this selection. Second choice, house white, was not particularly pleasant. Waited a while for some water to be delivered to the table and when it did, arrived with large chunky glasses, and not a more delicate glass that I observed on a nearby table. I took two wine glasses from another table as these were more suitable. Starters were luke warm My wife's main meal arrived and was cold - sent it back, returned as if it has been reheated. The haddock was rubbery and the creamed spinach was dried and glued to the plate. Uneatable. We were offered free deserts, after a lot of persuading by a member of staff. My wife visited the ladies, only one toilet and it was in use by a gentleman who took ages, by the time my wife returned to the table her dessert (affogato) had melted. Staff in general were not attentive, environment very tired looking and in need of decorating. An extremely disappointing evening and experience which spoilt my wife's birthday!

Very much enjoyed our evening the food was excellent however disappointed we only had 3 scallops each for our starter which I think was over priced for £13 compared with other top fish restaurants.Restaurant is a little tired and thè toilet definitely needs up dating and changed.

Amazing Sunday lunch (vegetarian option)

Wow! First time we’ve dined here since the move. A fantastic meal. Great wine. Great atmosphere. We all started with gaspazo which set the tone for mains of scallops and duck. Amazing. The best meal we’ve had in Wells and such good value for money. Thank you.

Our meal was delicious and beautifully presented. Service absolutely excellent. The restuarant was full and had a buzzy atmosphere. Decor very warm and opulant.

Thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic meal at this restaurant. Small menu, fantastic food, Michelin star standards. All three courses were delicious. Pleasant staff. Would thoroughly recommend

Brilliant lunch at 7b. First time we have visited since move to the current venue and will certainly be back. Food and service is superb. Cannot recommended visiting highly enough.
