Adam and Martine have created an elegant restaurant with an atmosphere of calm and warmth. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table. The service was great and the food was superb, with Adams attention to presentation and exact seasoning and flavour combinations very evident in every mouthful of the 3 course lunch we enjoyed. Starters were grilled king prawns in a crispy filo pastry case with celeriac remulade. Mains a beautiful cooked sea bass fillet with tiny mushrooms and polenta. Pudding of poached pear, apple crumble and ice cream. Nothing was rushed and we felt well looked after and really very satisfied. We will return again and again!!

First time to this little treasure. We had starters of wild mushroom soup and the salmon and lemon sole terrine and both were fresh tasting and delicious! For our mains we ordered the partridge which yet again did not disappoint. Wish we had a restaurant of this quality in our area. Prices are very reasonable and the service superb! Will definitely return to if we return to Wells and have already recommended this restaurant to friends who live in the area.

Very pleasant buzzy environment, friendly service, reasonable prices, well balanced menu, delicious food beautifully presented, delectable deserts.... An extremely welcome and much needed addition to the Wells restaurant scene. Highly Recommended.

We had a delicious meal at 7B last Saturday before a talk at Wells Literature Festival. Service was very efficient and we all loved our choices. My friends hadn't been to Goodfellows before and were very impressed. We'll definitely be re-booking.

It is a joy to have Adam, Martine and Renaud looking after us so beautifully again. We have missed them in their absence. Our dinner was as delicious as always, well up to standard, with some interesting new twists. We wish them every success in their new venture.

Adam and Martine have moved up to 7b , So glad they are continuing their amazing food and style in their beautiful new surroundings. They are such an asset to Wells. The only place to eat seafood as far as we are concerned!

Dinner @7B was first class. It’s moved upmarket from the old Goodfellows and got a bit more expensive, but it’s worth it. The team has pulled everything off really well (with the possible exception of the wine list which, while ok, hasn’t kept up with the new positioning). The food was outstanding, the general ambience manages to be both smarter and more comfortable than previously, and the service was flawless. 7B has moved to a new level and deserves to do well there.

Goodfellows at 7B is just as Fantastic as the last 18 years at Goodfellows Wells. The food is amazing, always innovative and Adams cooking and presentation is always done with such passion. We have eaten in a few Michelin starred restaurants and the food here is better. The surroundings and staff hospitality are as welcoming and wonderful as ever. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Adam. Thank you Adam Martine and Renaud.
