We used the Last for my dad's wake, it's very local to us after the service. We had a buffet for our party and they did us proud. Great service from the team and we are very happy to recommend.

The Last Inn – NewportVisited on Sunday. Staff were lovely, particularly the young blonde girl. Food was slightly slow coming out but she explained they had a new chef in the kitchen so it was understandable. When the food arrived it was delicious, couldn’t fault it.
The Last Inn – NewportCame before Christmas with a family group of 10 and food and service was excellent. My wife and I went for Sunday lunch yesterday and were disappointed. The meat was arranged on the plate so that it covered the vegetables . When you moved the meat you discovered the small amount of vegetables that had been put out. All the food was lukewarm and there was no cauliflower cheese . We complained and the cauliflower arrived just as we finished. The service generally was very slow.
The Last Inn – NewportFood and service very good. However restaurant rather noisy and a bit cold (realise there is an energy price problem) - most customers had their coats on! Also toilets could have been better supplied and cleaner.
Bangkok Cafe – CardiffFantastic as always, another superb Sunday lunch
The Last Inn – NewportNice food, good service. My starter was REALLY spicy, which I wasn't expecting from the description on the menu. Food was served quickly and our waitress was nice. We have been coming here for a while and the only thing we would like to see change is the menu, it would be nice to see some new dishes on there. We would recommend the restaurant and always enjoy our meals.
Bangkok Cafe – CardiffEasy to book. Lovely food. Prompt, friendly service. Relaxxing. Whats not to like!
Bangkok Cafe – CardiffExcellent meal good service bit of a wait but at our age doesn't matter we go there once a month
The Last Inn – NewportGreat food and friendly staff. Definitely a place to visit , As we will be again
The Last Inn – NewportAshamed to say that we haven’t been to the inn since new owners took over , but we were not disappointed, friendly service and the meal was great , will be coming back
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportLovely food, just couple of issues service was a lil slow regarding the drinks, seemed to take a while we had ordered some more drinks when our food had arrived but we had finished our meals by the time the drinks came just would of been nice to have something to wash the meal down. Also the toilets were disgusting there was an issue with the mens loos so the ladies was made into unisex while they awaited a plumber which was fine these things happen, there was 2 cubicles and in one of them looked like someone had been sick and left a mess behind and also the bin was overflowing with paper towels all on the floor. If they was the only toilets in use and with more people using them with the mens being out of order there should of been something in place to keep on top of the cleaning.
The Last Inn – NewportMoved to Church Aston in August, and have been meaning to try The Last Inn since. Visited on New Years day for a Sunday lunch. Food quality was lovely, home cooked, and cooked well. We were advised on arrival that they didn't have any Yorkshire puddings due to the egg shortage (at least this means they are made fresh) but we also didn't get any stuffing, which was a slight disappointment. As good as the quality was, I do feel the the portion size could have been larger. Service was great, both pleasant and quick. We had our 1 year old daughter with us so my wife asked for her meal to be kept warm in the end, while she tended to our daughter, and this was not too much trouble at all. The decor was homely, to our liking, and comfortable. Will be nice to return in the warmer months to experience the outdoor dining area. Will also be aiming to visit on a Tuesday and Saturday evening for the quiz and music respectively. Overall a very pleasant visit, and I think I may have found my 'local'!
The Last Inn – NewportWe aren't regular visitors as we use this as a half-way family Christmas meet up place. The food and service were much better in 2021 than just gone and they seemed to have more senior staff on last year. They were massively understaffed with only two waitresses serving. One was really friendly (a girl with very curly blond hair) and the other one much less so. They blamed the slow service on on people booking on-line a few minutes before they arrive and on walk-ins. Perhaps the on-line booking system needs to be set with a cut off time? And if they have too many walk-ins, they need to refuse them rather than swamp the kitchen and make everyone wait ages? 3 of us had two courses thaT we liked and that seemed to be made there but the 4th liked their started but described their steak and ale pie as salty cat food in soggy pastry! It looked bought in. We didn't send it back as things had taken long enough as it was. Might have to rethink for next year.
The Last Inn – NewportWe visit the Last Inn regularly as its our local. Food is always fantastic. If a slight mishap occurs e.g. brought the wrong chips, problem was corrected quickly efficiently and pleasantly. The service is always excellent, I wouldn't mark them down for a minor mistake that was corrected immediately, mistakes happen and thats ok its how you handle it that matters. I would highly recommend this pub, everything on the menu is delicious. Lovely setting. Lovely staff and lovely food what more could you want.
The Last Inn – NewportVery friendly welcoming staff. Amazing food and great value. Highly recommend anybody wanting authentic Thai food.
Bangkok Cafe – CardiffVisited just after Christmas for lunch. The food was excellent and there is a good choice for vegetarians, which was important for us. However, service was slow. I have eaten here before and never had a bad meal.
The Last Inn – NewportFood was good, two real ales on, both ram out by 9pm. Offered desert menu then never brought it. Poor compared to previous visits, hopefully a one off.
The Last Inn – NewportNice evening arranged yesterday with Newport Male Voice choir singing at the Rhiwderin Inn for the Xmas festivities.
