Great food, service and atmosphere. We had a lovely night and hope to return next month.

Lovely setting inside, excellent service from all members of staff, food was so good, i am very fussy and rarely enjoy meals like i did this, had the vege chili nachos and i now i cant wait to return to have it again. Thank you.

Beautiful meal so tasty and the portions are excellent. Just couldn’t fault the service and cleanliness we will be visiting again the next time we are in York.

Lovely waiters and very big food portions will be coming again.

The food was lovely however the service wasn't very good. Although we booked we were asked on arrival if we could only stay for 1 hour and several things we asked for didn't turn up at all or we had to ask again (e.g. tap water, parmesan). Staff were friendly just over worked, too many bookings had been taken for them to cope with which detracted from the experience.

Second visit to the restaurant, but first visit to the new location. Was very impressed with the decor , light and airy and the atmosphere was very good. As of the first visit, lovely fresh food and opted for the mussels which was a very good portion size. Was served by a new staff member who was very polite and was able to answer any questions that was asked. Excellent value for money. Would certainly revisit.

Again excellent food well presented with attentive very helpful staff and all reasonably priced, what is not to like. There is enough space between tables so you dont feel cramped. Normal conversations can be conducted without either having to whisper or having to shout. Just a generally relaxed atmosphere. A lovely Saturday night. Many thanks yet again to all at Sambuca.

Very good food, value for money. Food was tasty, hot and well prepared. Looked good on the plate and tasted great. Staff attentive, without being overbearing, and restaurant was busy. Staff coped well despite being a chef short. Would recommend.

Yet another top meal at Brooks Ilkley. Great way to spend a Friday lunchtime. Definitely didn’t need tea! Never had anything I didn’t enjoy here. And love the owners - so friendly and genuine.

This is what a village pub should be like. Home made food, friendly staff and dog friendly! The recent addition of the « attic room » with its leather sofas and chilled out vibe is wonderful . Cannot recommend enough .

We didn’t eat on this occasion. Mainly because a friend was running late. Also because online a table is only for two hrs. The staff are always fantastic and the food we had the week before was fantastic.

What a find! Don’t know how we have missed this lovely place for so long but so glad that we have found it now. Such friendly service, wonderful authentic food and a lovely atmosphere. We shall definitely be back. Thank you!
