Great food as usual. Good to return

First time going to the new location and it was just as good, if not better. Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere. It felt like we were in Greece on holiday. Staff were attentive. We had a load of starters as our meal and the portions were perfect. Will be returning again!

Great food, friendly staff. Recommend that staff check on tables more frequently. Wanted to order more drinks but could not attract attention of staff. Ordered when mains arrived but had eaten (we're not quick eaters) before drinks arrived. Missing a trick as we would have ordered extra drinks if they had arrived quicker.

Worth the 4 hour journey each way ! Amazing food and comfortable surroundings. Mums favourite place of all time Hopefully it won’t be so long until our next visit Staff lovely

Booked a table for 4 on 30/7. There seemed to be confusion at the bar area. Staff were busy with drinks orders from the tables but no one was welcoming incoming dining guests. Food was fine but a long wait and staff had to be reminded to bring wine and several requests to different members of staff for water. No bread offered. On leaving the premises, a waitress ran after us and shouted, “Have you paid?” (we had). We thought this was very unprofessional.

Great place to eat fish and chips

What a fabulous lunch! The Magpie as usual served us the freshest fish, and went out of their way to accommodate us. We haven’t managed to visit the restaurant for some years and were so pleased we were able to do so this year ❤️

Went to the new restaurant on newland have been before when was down anlaby Road same lovely food and drink staff very friendly just wish there had been a bit of greek music in background but couldn't fault restaurant

Very tasty food, very pleasant staff and good service. We enjoyed fish cakes, Tuscan bean stew, bruschetta, pork schnitzel, chicken with fondant potato and creamed Savoy cabbage. All served piping hot. The Madri lager went down very well.

Food amazing staff amazing would def recommend some if my party are vegans and they said the quality of there food was lovely we had a 2 year old and the staff made us feel really welcome

Got recommended to eat here by family and it’s didn’t disappoint at all the staff where fantastic and so chatty food was fabulous and fresh definitely eat here if your able to as we will be booking here again for our next trip

I really like this restaurant - it is welcoming and friendly with no pretensions. The service is always professional and friendly, and the food delicious! Our party had ravioli, lamb shanks, fusilli and the sea bass and everyone loved their meals. Everything was yummy! Thanks for a great evening!

I organised a social event with Stuart for the venue having attended a successful one previously organised by a committee. He offered a personal service throughout and responded to my initial enquiry with super efficiency. Members of staff are friendly, accommodating and on hand at all times. The location is brilliant, and the venue itself is modern and popular with a great atmosphere. Perfect place for after work drinks, a meal or a social event.

Food was fantastic, service was very friendly, portions where huge and the price was superb what what you get. Will definitely be coming back on my return to Whitby. Definitely pre book in advance as it's very popular

If you enjoy Italian food, good service and great value, then this place is a must. I’ve eaten here many times and it is consistently good. Pizza and pasta here are both excellent. The menu has plenty of options, without being overwhelming, and normally a few specials are also available. The restaurant itself is tucked away just off the high street and is a little gem of a place that you’ll keep visiting again and again

Had lunch, 5 of us. The food was lovely and the service was very good. Definitely go back and recommend.
