Excellent choice of fish and sea food . Restaurant always busy - booking is recommended- but that’s because the food is first class ! Staff are very friendly and helpful - even when busy service is always with a smile . On the ball with dealing with an egg and milk allergy on the table opposite me . If you’re in Whitby, a visit here is a must !

From the word go, we were incredibly well looked after, from the lady on reception, the young man who escorted us up to our table via a lift ( I have a broken foot) and the wonderful lady who looked after us throughout our dinner 5* The food was delicious and the wine complemented it perfectly. We decided to indulge ourselves with the seafood platter for two, and it did not disappoint. Generous portions, all of which were divine. Would I recommend you….. definitely. Since it’s reopening a couple of years ago it has lost not of its original atmosphere and has organised its service efficiently during the recent issues affecting everyone. The Aegean Taverna – HullAegean was recommended by a colleague and it didn't disappoint. Ambience was very mediterranean which was nice in itself. Menu was varied with something to suit most tastes. Food quality was fabulous with ample portions. Top this with great service and you have a restaurant you'd happily return to. Cant wait to go back.
