Anams Restaurant – Bradfordthis one is a dark horse if you don't mind the pun, what can one say. 5 star all round, the food, (well all i can say is try it) you will not be disappointed. Barry
Kebabeesh – BradfordHaving just been to Damon's for My sister in laws birthday. All i can say is that the food was average at best. However fairly expensive for what we paid. I had a Caesar salad which was lettuce, Parmesan cheese and mayo:-yuk that was it. The burgers nothing special. Getting worse. Value worse. You could definitely go to another diner for better value........................
Damons – SheffieldI was taken to Prashad's two weeks ago, as soon as I was fit enough to stand after major surgery. My partner had gone on three consecutive nights after visiting me in hospital. It really is a fabulous eating experience. Neither of us is veggie, and frankly as a committed carnivore I was sceptical. The food and service are both fantastic and very reasonably priced. I recommended to my sister and nephew who are visiting from Scotland to go too and they went Tuesday. All four of us went again last night. It really is a fabulous, tasty eating experience.
Prashad – BradfordWent for my wedding anniversary with my husband, the service was fantastic, the meal was excellent, the only downside was the state of the toilets, it was a hot day and there was no air con in them so they were like an oven, and they were not very clean...but that is my only complaint, the food was out of this world and very fairly priced
Akbars – Leeds City Centre"Prashad is amazing because it has combined 'Shudh & Satvik' [pure and healthy] philosophy contained in the Ayurveda section of the Vedas, the ancient most wisdom of the Human Race. Ayurveda emphasises Vegetarian meals from health, compassionate and eco-friendly mode of nourishment to sustain a balanced planet. The herbs and Spices used in vegetarian cooking have some form of medicinal benefit or other. The medical fraternity is aware of these benefits and are racing to do more research so that we can benefit holistically from the use of these magical and natural products. Kaushy & Minal have blended these herbs and spices in their cooking at Prashad delicately and brilliantly to give us a vegetarian cuisine which is all combined together ie. tasty, pure and healthy. Typically Gujarati and Indian, and yet simple."
Prashad – BradfordChina Moon is a friendly place to be i think the prices are great for what you get, you get the real chinese experience in China Moon. but the drinks are high priced due to the cheap prices of food. china moon makes you feel welcome and homely. i would recommend China Moon for any event. 8/10 rating.
China Moon – BarnsleyI first went to Viva about three years ago on a recommendation from a friend, and have barely been anywhere else since! Even when we do Viva is the benchmark to meet. It has a lovely ambiance, great staff and a delicious steak (locally sourced to boot). My only complaint is they took the lobster ravioli off the menu, it was like all their food - scrumptious!
Viva – Leeds City CentreLovely little restaurant with very friendly attentive staff. The food was served quickly and was delicious (I would recommend the black pudding scotch egg starter!), although the main courses were a little salty. One point to consider is that the sugarvine offer (2 for 1 main courses) is no longer available, even though it is still on the website. Otherwise, great value, great restaurant, I would recommend a visit!
Nineteen Restaurant – YorkFantastic food, fantastic service and a fantastic price to match. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, the food is of a very high standard and the welcome and service are second to none. Will definitely be going back!!
Kebabeesh – BradfordWe visited the Wheatsheaf on June 29th 2010 and were very pleasantly surprised, we both had the deep fried cheese on mango Puree to start, which was delicious and light, then Kev had the belly pork and I had the Ballotine of chicken stuffed with Boursen. Both were outstanding and a credit to the chef. The waiting staff were attentive but not in your face and all in all a good solid 9/10. Keep it up !!
Wheatsheaf Inn – CleckheatonGreat service and even better food - this place oozes class and is a great addition to the already high standard of restaurants in Headingley. I ate on the off chance of passing by and was very impressed. Trendy, sexy and a perfect place to go on a special occasion or everyday! A+++ :)
delicious home-made food and friendly service Their fresh fruit pavlova is so good I ordered it for each of the four nights we were there.
The Old Swan – SkiptonLooking forward to our fourth visit for a family birthday on 4 July with real anticipation. Beautiful surroundings, friendly waitress and unbeatable food. An intimate venue like this cannot routinely offer a wide vegetarian selection, so we would advise mentioning this at the time of booking - and then be delighted with the resulting gourmet food! Cannot recommend too highly (but this might be a mistake, as then everyone will know how good it is & we won't be able to get in again for ages....!)
The Peppered Pig – GooleWhen I fancy an Indian meal in Leeds, the Sheesh Mahal is always my first choice. Having lived (and eaten out) in Leeds for the past 10 years, I've sampled most of the curry houses the city has to offer - and I've notched up considerably more visits to Azram's than anywhere else. The food is delicious and cooked to order. So you can have your curry as fiery or tame as you wish. What sets Azram's apart from a lot of its rivals is its ambience. Friendly staff combined with unpretentious decor mean I always feel extremely relaxed and at home there.
Azram’s Sheesh Mahal – Leeds City CentreThis is by far the best Thai food I have had in Leeds! I am so glad I found it - I will be going back again and again! Very reasonably prices too. Highly recommended.
Jinos Thai Cafe – HeadingleyKebabeesh is a must try for all !!! it is one of the best indian's i have ever been to. Me and my partner both had an amazing meal the quality of service was second to none and the food well words cant describe. I had a starter of the chicken liver tikka and my partner had chicken boti tika, both where cooked to perfection. I had a main meal of lamb nihari what is a slow cooked lamb dish in the most delicious sauce the meat was so tender that it just melted in my mouth!! I recommend this restaurant to every one and the owner Jay was the most delightful and welcoming, what is always a nice touch.
Kebabeesh – BradfordWe went to Hansa's for dinner on Friday. It was the best food I've had in a long time. A varied vegetarian menu with lots of vegan options, and excellent service. I'll definitely be revisiting Hansa's again and again!
