Good food and good people...what more could you want? I particularly recommend the mutton nihari..as long as you have permission to eat that much garlic and the coriander naan (not on menu...just ask).

Polash Tandoori Restaurant – PudseyIdle spicy kitchen gorgeous food can be a little spicy the best sheekh kebabs in bradford
Idle Spicy Kitchen – BradfordAlthough the food was ok, the service was shocking - we asked for some tap water, only to be told "we can't do tap water" - asked do they not have a tap, & a lady who seemed to be the owner came out & said the tap is in the kitchen & won't be cold so they can't serve it. We then sat listening to this woman and the chef in the kitchen slagging us off for asking for tap water. I've eaten at many restaurants - cheap & cheerful to top of the range, and they all serve tap water & don't complain about it. We found them ridiculous & could laugh it off, but I'm sure it would ruin some people's evenings
Aya Sophia Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine – Hebden BridgeI have been to this restaurant many times. The food is superb. The environment is poor, cold, dark, miserable. The staff are very aggressive. Standing at the end of your table, arms folded, staring at you. So not a nice place to eat. The food really is worth it though. So if you want excellent food in a cold dark miserable environment go to Crown Tandoori.
Crown Tandoori – HalifaxJust found this place. Used to be a popular pub about 15 years ago but wow it's like a London brasserie now. Modern look, bright and crisp. Food's great too. Nice to see some off-piste dishes as well as the usual things. My girlfriend had the murgh chambala where the heat of the chillis - it's hot! - is offset by molasses. Loved the grilled fennel seeds on top, too. It gave a really nutty texture. I had the Gosht Arbi, lamb with colocasia roots, whatever they are, and a touch of vanilla. Slightly off the wall but the best cooking around, I'd say.
Mumbai Spice – HuddersfieldDiva Italiana is wonderful, amazing food with a good atmosphere. I agree that once you've been, you'll be wanting to return again soon - we certainly have done!
Diva Italiana – PudseyThis is far, the best Indian restaurant in Keighley, And having won the "Best Restaurant in Keighley" award for 2 years running it is sure that it is officially the best curry place in Keighley. Shimla Spice is open from tuesday to sunday and is closed on Mondays. I personally have eaten in every indian and every restaurant in Keighley and i think that Simla Spice is the only restaurant that is packed with customers every day. Being busy everyday says it all, "Its a fantastic restaurant to dine at" Its recently had a major refurbishment.
Shimla Spice Restaurant – KeighleyHad a meal over Christmas ,you could not better the choice or quality of the food and the service given by the very obliging staff who made you welcome. cream on the cake ,beer superb. must go back even the children enjoyed having what they wanted to eat and drink. thank you Neil
Bankhouse Inn – PudseyGreat new restaurant. The old pub has been stripped out and remade for the 21st century. Clean lines and contemporary furniture greet you and the menu is up to the moment, too. We liked the chicken haandi and gosht bindi but the stars were the achar chamak salar, a curry of roots flavoured with asafoetida, and gosht masca malabar, a lamb dish featuring macerated pears, diced turnip and caraway seeds. Sounds strange but it was pulled together by the warm tow of ginger.
Mumbai Spice – HuddersfieldI was recommended this restaurant by a friend and am now wondering what I did to upset them to deserve this! Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever had. Arrived at 1.05 p.m (to a not very busy restaurant) and ordered our food and drinks at 1.15 p.m. No drinks arrived by 1.30 p.m. so we asked the waitress if they had been ordered. Several seconds of blank stares later she wandered off. 10 minutes later and still no drinks so I went to the very empty bar area to order them again and get them myself. Finally at 1.50 p.m. the starters arrived. Clap cold and not even as described on the menu. A hint to the chef if you are reading this...Cajun Spiced Chicken usually has Cajun Spices on it! We made our feelings about the starters known to the waitress and rather stupidly and against better judgement waited for the main courses. At 2.20 p.m. and still no main course we found the manager and complained and were promised they were on their way. Well they must have been getting sent their on the tram as it took a further 15 minutes to arrive. Perhaps the wait would be worthwhile...not a chance in hell! We both ordered the same and below is the results: "Ribeye" Steak requested to be medium cooked: If what we received was "Ribeye" steak I will quite glady bare my ar*e in Leeds City Centre. More like a minute steak from the nearest cut price supermarket. It was cooked way past any life it may have had left in it. On a plus note my wifes boots are in need of new soles and this may just fit the bill. "Garlic Mushroom Sauce" - no sauce to be seen. Just some button mushrooms with a quite vile tasting garlic residue drizzled over. Also it must be noted that again the main course was clap cold and did not arrived with the mushrooms, onion rings or tomato that were shown on the menu. We did not even attempt to eat the mains and instead informed the manager of our total dissatisfaction and informed him that we shall not be paying and left with still hungry stomachs. Needless to say we shall not be going back!
The Old Tramshed – ShipleyI recently went for a meal at the Tannin Level and found it very disappointing having heard great things. The woman who appeared to be head of front of house was faultlessly friendly and charming, however i found some other members of staff to be far too snooty (imagine a sketch show french waiter). The menu reads beautifully and I expected great things, despite the idiotic spiel at the beginning- a run down of the restaurants domestic affairs which would be fine for a country pub but would probably still leave me questioning why I need to know the name of the KP. The fish i received was over cooked and the accompanying vegetables were dried out, i would really not be surprised to find that both were cooked in a microwave, and i was not shocked to see the chef walking through the restaurant twice as he had obviously not spent a great deal of time of my food. As is apparent from the other reviews, i may have caught the restaurant on an off day, as i can not see how such sterling reviews could have been mustered if the place was consistently this bad. Good luck to all it's future diners is all i can say, I'll be leaving it for a few years before take two (hopefully there will be a new chef by then!).
The Tannin Level – HarrogateWhy do they have to serve hot food on cold plates. It really spoiled the meal and the occasion
Cactus Jacks – DoncasterWe've just been for a meal here and I was really impressed by it. I'm pleased this restaurant has re-opened under new management. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I will definitely be coming here again. 10 out of 10
China Palace – BridlingtonJust want everyone to know how happy we were with having our Christmas party at Moghuls, the evening was a success from start to finish! We've dined everywhere in the surrounding area and for our staff party of 40 we wanted something special and they delivered. A fabulous night, a wonderful atmosphere, the food was served on time when we wanted and nothing was to much trouble for the staff, helpful chatty and well mannered as always. So all in all a wonderful time had, for keighley Moghuls is simply a cut above the rest. ps. Theirs only one place our next Christmas party will be held.. no prizes for guessing where!
Moghuls – KeighleyNew Years Eve.. had a fabulous time, thanks for a great night as always, food and service top notch as usual, by far the best in keighley. am looking forward to the 30th birthday party!
Moghuls – KeighleyWe have been coming to The Polash for the last 20 years. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Khalid, Mushie, Sam, Tony and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful. If you have a Gold Card as we do then you get a 20% discount on your food which if you use the restaurant weekly it is a great saving. We have been to the Mega buffet a couple of times since it started and can strongly recommend it for value for money and a good selection of food
Polash Tandoori Restaurant – PudseyMy wife and I called in at The Mill House several months ago to assess it's potential as a venue to spend New Year's Eve and found the staff both courteous and helpful. My wife subsequently booked for the New Year's Eve 2009 function (buffet), at The Mill House at £48/head in good time. To show good faith she paid a deposit of £50. On New Year's Eve day, she developed full blown flu and had to take to her bed. I rang the Mill House, explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to transfer the deposit to a meal to be taken at a later time, when my wife had recovered. We only recently discovered the Mill House and have been looking forward to dining there and would probably have done so on a regular basis if impressed. I was met with a flat 'No' from the Manager, delivered by the Assistant Manager, who told me that the Manager had said we should have informed them earlier. I explained that you do not plan to catch the flu, that I did not want a refund but intended to spend the money and probably more on a meal, but this still had no effect. I pointed out that we have been looking forward to dining there and were a potential long term investment, but that had no effect either. Consequently, all the publicity about how magnanimous the Manager is on the Mill House website cuts no ice with me and, coincidentally, the part of their website where you can post comments does not work.
Mill House Restaurant – CottinghamWe took our vegan son and his wife, vegetarian daughter and our omnivorous selves for a freezing walk on the Chevin and then had very pleasant, home made hot food at the Cheerful Chilli. I had phoned to check they had vegan options - carrot soup and kerala curry - and there was a vegan dessert on offer too. Very friendly and attentive staff.
