Green Tree Brewers Fayre – DoncasterThis is one of the best restaurants I have ever dined in. Over the past few years I have gone there often and never had a bad meal or bad experience. The staff are excellent - friendly, helpful and efficient and the food is always delicious with a good choice of menu, well presented dishes and very good quality ingredients, cooked by experts. The icing on the cake is the cost of the meal, which is extremely good value. I can't rate this too highly and would recommend it to anyone.
Outside Inn – HarrogateWe were greeted and seated first class. Ordered a meal and startyer each (5 of us) As table was laid we were told it may take a while to serve food. 17 year old son was hungry so we ordered bread. Starters came, but the bread did not, so cancelled the bread. When main courses ordered, two ordered Lamb. Asked how they would like it, one said medium rare, and the other well done. When it came we were asked who ordered Lamb, both were the same. One of us ordered the fish Platter. It seemed okay until trying the scampi. The taste was horrible, the smell was worse. It was removed and followed by an apology it was off and should not have been served. In the mean time I ordered more drinks, these never appeared and I had to ask where they were, apology given and the drinks came. The potatoes that came with the Lamb were not cooked, and were left on the plate, again another apology(told they had been cooked for 4 hours!) Sweets were ordered. Pancakes with Lemon and Cane sugar. They came with a slice of Lemon and no sugar. Asked where was the sugar, the waitress made a grunting sound and walked off only to come back with a pot of white sugar, put on the table and walked off.(pancakes were sent back) A milkshake that was ordered never appeared, I asked where it was, again an apology was given and the milkshake appeared. I would seriously think twice before going back to this restaurant to spend another £65.00, or recommend it too a friend.
The Bull – Skipton3 times I've eaten at Gusto's and 3 times everyone in my party has agreed the food has been fantastic, the service exceptional and the cost is very reasonable. I would recommend a visit!!
Mio Gusto – Keighleyvery disappointed, from the bouse, to the very cold cheese, at 2 rossette standard a complete let down, service and room was excellent, otherwise very ordinary and over priced.
Boar’s Head Hotel – HarrogateFood very good and reasonably priced. A welcoming decor and friendly welcome makes the dining experience perfect. Joined the email club and have already received some fantastic offers - Will definitely be back.
The Royal Oak – WakefieldThank you so much. The curried goat, rice and peas was amazing. The warmth and service was second to none. The journey from the Dales was worth it. By far the best I've had.
Maureens Caribbean Eat In Or Takeaway – RoundhayI was in here a couple of weeks ago with the lads from work. It was our work do and we thought we'll give this restaurant a go cos a few of our friends have been in before and was really impressed with it. The staff were friendly especially one in particular (Emily) Food was great no cheap rip offs, plenty of dishes to choose from, alcohols were reasonably prices (unlike some Chinese restaurants) Had a good laugh with the Geordie lad, Paul who's the manager there. (who claims that he's not one of the owners.. Whatever!) Overall, myself and the lads had a real good night. Definitely found our place to go for Chinese food in Bradford! Well done Guys!
BC’s – BradfordStayed overnight. Accommodation excellent value. Food great. Hospitality superb. Breakfast very good. Highly recommended to seek out if staying in the area
Woodlands Hotel – BradfordThe restaurant is interesting with the different rooms/levels and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. My meal was excellent although my friend's was a little under seasoned. Service was a bit variable but it was nice not to be rushed. Good value all in all and well worth another visit.
Diva Italiana – PudseyHave already written about this place and returned this year was just as good as the first time will be back next year!
The Moon and Sixpence – WhitbyI was surprised by the reviews re: friendly staff until I realised that they were pre 2008. This used to be my favourite Italian in Wakefield and the cuisine is still good but the staff can be very rude and abrupt apart from the younger short haired blonde lady who was very friendly. I am my recent experience on the past 3 times I have been, hence I no longer frequent this restaurant even though it is walking distance from where I live. I can highly recommend Quo Vardis though in the centre of Wakefield which is excellent. I hope this review makes it on as it will make for a balanced review.
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldI really recommend this restaurant. It has very nice atmosphere and the food is delicious. I enjoyed every night out there.
Zucchini Restaurant – BatleyI've dined at many different curry houses and can honestly say that Bharat is the best of the lot! Beautiful food and good service. And for lager lovers they do a perfect pint of Lowenbrau!
Bharat Restaurant – Bradfordwould recommend went other week brilliant food plenty of choice on the specials board as well some very nice dishes.
Pickburn Arms – DoncasterFantastic Pub. From the outside just looks like a normal street corner boozer. But once you get inside you'll be amazed by the range of beers. Everything from real ale to continental lagers and wheat beers. Over 200 beers in total! and a similar number of weird and wonderful spirits. A beer and spirit menu sits on every table allowing you to make your choice before you reach the bar. (why don't more pubs do this?) Great range of soft drinks too, with some more unusual selections (curiosity cola, seville orange, root beer etc) as well as the usual coke and lemonade. Food menu was slightly eccentric to say the least, with crickets, larvae, grubs sitting alongside your other bar snacks. Great to see a pub making an effort rather than just selling the same tired old lager and bitter. Will definitely be back back next time i am in Huddersfield.
The Grove – HuddersfieldI visited this restaurant when in Keighley for the afternoon thinking it was part of the living ventures group given the similarities in name and appearance etc, however i was SERVERLY disappointed with what i found. The food was average, the service was non existent and for a new restaurant the decor already looked outdated. Having had such high expectations for this restaurant i could not have been more dissatisfied and will not be returning again which i advise any prospect customer to do the same.
Mio Gusto – Keighleywell done to Salvos for winning the F Word best local Italian restaurant heat!
