Medusa Bar – HorsforthThe restaurant seemed reasonably clean and the atmosphere was lively and it was quite busy as we entered. I ordered an onion bhaji, some chicken pakora and fish tikka to start. Whilst it wasn't the best I had eaten, it was reasonably ok to start. However when it came to the main course the Chicken Tikka Balti was shocking!! The meat was a really unnatural white colour, almost fake looking white & painted with a fluorescent red dye on the outside unlike anything I have eaten before. It didn't taste like it had been near a Tandoor and was obviously not naturally prepared as there was no smoky flavour combined with the spices. The mushroom pilau was created using tinned mushrooms and it was brightly coloured but tasted bland with slightly rotten smell. To make matters worse my wife chose a Chicken Makhani which is normally a thick creamy dish with a subtle blend of mild spices. In this case the sauce was watery red with a slick of molten ghee on it. The chicken was the bright white colour inside and the coating was the same artifical fluorescent red dye painted on the outside again as my Chicken Tikka Balti. We both had garlic naans and they were passable but one side was yellow and looked like it had been painted with a coating of garlic butter giving the bread a yellow and rubbery feel on one side. The bread was quite heavy rather than fluffy and light as it should be if cooked properly. The quality of the cooking, including preparation and the blend of ingredients used indicated extreme inexperience. My recommendation would be stay as far away from here as you can unless you want to spend £40 - £50 on incompetently and carelessly prepared dogs dinner
Palace Tandoori Restaurant and Takeaway – HuddersfieldGreat food in a cosy pub. Staff very friendly, we went on a night when there was a buy one steak and get another free but would have been happy to pay normal price.......great night.
White Horse Inn – HalifaxI have been to this little hideaway of a restaurant twice and both times have enjoyed it immensely. The food is delicious and a change from some of the standard Indian dishes (only restaurant where I've seen duck lankini) and the service is excellent. Would advise getting there early though as it is rather small and gets very busy.
Sonali Restaurant – TadcasterAagrah is awesome. Been to the one in St Peters Square loads of times & Skipton quite a few times. Just recently started visiting the Clarence Dock, Leeds Cafe Aagrah ... staff, venue & food all amazing. Try the Makhani if you like sweet/mild, or Hyderabadi for medium, or my favourite - Achar for a little more spicy. Onion bhajis are the best in the world! Aagrah is setting the standards high & is probably my favourite restaurant ever. I'm totally addicted & have to visit at least once a month ;o)
Aagrah Restaurant – Leeds City CentreEl Bareto feels like you're in Spain. The food and wines are excellent with great live music nights and you always receive a warm welcome. By the way it's just off the Harrogate Road near Chapel Allerton (not Harewood). Chris & Art
El Bareto – Chapel AllertonI had Sunday Lunch here and was quietly impressed. There were no fancy gastropub pretensions, just good honest grub. I've had several disappointments recently with pubs that aspire to greater things and so it was a relief to go somewhere that delivered simple food but done well. Portions are generous; a starter of deep-fried brie was two thick wedges of cheese, and the paté came with plenty of toast as opposed to the usual measley two slices. Roast mains were both excellent; the beef served pink and the pork still moist and tender. You can request the number of Yorkshire puddings you want and they arrive freshly made, fabulously misshapen and tasty. Veg was the weak link; the roasties were a little disappointing, while the cauliflower cheese and carrots were fine. Loved the gravy... loads of it in a jug and thick and rich. This place has a bit of a reputation as a steakhouse and I'm looking forward to returning and giving them a try.
The Rythre Arms Steakhouse – TadcasterHi. This is the first time we've tried this restaurant and went on a Monday evening when it was quiet, but don't let that put you off! The restaurant is spacious, clean and well set out and the welcome we got was really nice. The tables are nicely spaced so please don;t be put off by comments that thy are 'crammed in'. We opted for the set menu and were both pleased when the starters came and the portion sizes were not disappointing, and the quality was excellent. We would both highly recommend Meze for the service (very friendly and genuinely attentive) and for the freshly cooked high quality food. Although it was a quiet evening the food was freshly prepared and well presented. There is a certain confidence about the service (as if they know they are good) which is nice to see. We'll certainly be visiting again. This is the first time i've written a review for a restaurant but felt compelled to recommend a local restaurant that seems to have all the elements right. P.S we would highly recommend the 2 bottled turkish and Greek beers Efes and Mythos!!! A great meal in nice surroundings at a great price. I really hope this restaurant does well.
Meze Restaurant – BrighouseAwful restaurant that cannot possibly sustain the length of menu or the numbers it tries to cater for. Starters tasted like they were fried in sump oil and all 3 of my party left over half their main courses. None of the staff asked if anything was wrong. The only comment we had from staff (five times) was to remind us that they needed our table back at 8pm for the second cover. I will not be returning. Over priced, poor food with a shoddy service (despite the loveliness of the art decor ocean liner feel of the place).
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreReally enjoyed are meal their when we visited 2 weeks ago really pleasant an friendly and will visit again shortly
Aagrah Restaurant – Wakefieldbest food ever great prices friendly staff
New Inn, The – HalifaxWe went last night for a meal with my sister & her husband, it was their first time and were thoroughly impressed. As usual the service, food & atmosphere was absolutely second to none. I would recommend anyone to try it for just a drink or for something to eat you won't find many places to beat it in Leeds and definitely not in Morley. My advise would be give it a go. Keep it up Cucina & see you soon.

Gimbals – Sowerby Bridgethe dishes are prepared with as much of the local produce they can , and the favours are amazing. They get very busy (they are very popular as a bar too) so if you are planing on going BOOK!
Kobe – HorsforthEnjoyed a lovely meal. Excellent food and service. Good atmosphere. Rather disappointing wine list.
Mango Vegetarian – WetherbyVisited this excellent steakhouse twice in a week. Once with my better half when we had the grilled Argentine sausage (very tasty) followed by a medium rare fillet steak that was so tender I could have cut it with a spoon! Combined with two bottles of Malbec and friendly efficient service, I vowed to return. Fortunately I got the chance to visit again with my daughter and this time opted for the mixed grill which was very good. My daughter raved about the chicken dish she had chosen. Another good bottle of wine and a bill for two of under £50. Happy days!
