A great little find, friendly and welcoming. Pleasant atmosphere, attentive service, excellent food, broad selection of very nice wines. I heartily recommend to anyone wishing a very enjoyable, casual relaxed dining experience.

Unusual building with a fair amount of history behind it. A fair challenge for James the new manager, but one that will be relished. Excellent pub carvery and good value too a trademark of Mitchell & Butler. Looking forward to this one.

Standard. Used to be amazing, great bar-tenders, great atmosphere, great food. Now it's just same old, same old. Last year they had the best and most accommodating boys and girls in Leeds. It was a pleasure to go, now it's boring and mundane. I hate to be negative but this lot have destroyed a winning formula. Bring back Mike (long hair) Rachel (tall) Claire (fun) and everyone we liked! HBOS is having a hard time, but we would bring it back for the Lounge. We don't want to go elsewhere but the service and food good times have disappeared! So upset, we loved you guys. Where has all the energy gone? And who is that angry man in the waistcoat? Still recommend Lounge, but we need some help! Great relationship gone sour!

Visited as a group of 2adults and 4 children during the opening week and the service was really good. For Harrogate, so was the cost! Food was lovely and an impressive menu selection. No children's menu as such but they were happy for the kids to share pizza. we would definitely return. Enjoy!

If you want something different, the Rose & Crown certainly has it. Lovely place, people, food and drinks. You really must go see for yourself. Eric the Cleric

A fabulous village pub with a good atmosphere and attentive staff. My party and I enjoyed an excellent range of 'traditional' pub food, but also the specials were indeed intriguing and very special 10/10. Worth a visit and frequent re-visits!

What a fantastic indian food they serve. I had my birthday party, the food and the service was outstanding. The staff polite, and the surrounding is really good. I would recommend this to anybody who hasn't yet tried.!!

Myself and my husband have recently visited this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious!! We had 2 starters and 2 main dishes and a dessert all for £26.00. You get a large portion and it has a flavour all of its own. Please try it, its fantastic. We are going back there on Thursday night for a meal with our family, there will be 9 of us, i'm spreading the word.

The best Indian food for miles around with very polite and friendly staff.Try the Jimmy Cullen Special (not on the menu)which is the chefs choice on the night and could be anything,never been disappointed yet.Good quality bottled beers and reasonable prices make this place great for a night out.Visit the Carpenters Arms for a few drinks beforehand and you will be well on your way.

Unfortunately the system has now changed here and it has become a 2 for 1 carvery! The decor and surroundings remain the same but at busy times there will still be the canteen style queue. So far the food is still good for the price! The changes have obviously been good for owners as the car park is usually full at meal times, especially Sunday lunch. Good luck to them, especially if they can keep up with the good standard of food.

Great pint of beer with very friendly staff.Food is served two/three times a week and is excellent.Try the gammon(best I've had for years)The karaoke on Sunday night is great fun and gets a large crowd.Becky(the landlady)has a great voice and regularly joins in.Steve(the landlord)will probably be playing golf or checking out the horses.Use this place as a base before trying out one of the local restaurants and you will have a great night.

I wasn't overly impressed. The food was fine, but nothing special, but it was served on a cold plate so the food went cold quickly. The staff looked scruffy and my beer came in a can. Maybe having been to Ramsey's has spoiled me, but the Scarborough Taps would have been a better option. Passable but that's it.

Possibly some of the best and most authentic Italian food I have ever enjoyed, and I have been travelling to Italy for the last 20 years for business and pleasure. Vitto the owner, is the kind of hands on restaurant owner that all restaurant owners should aspire to. Genuine friendliness, very knowledgeable, and with an eye for detail. The interior is simple and understated, welcoming and homely. I hugely recommend this place, the sort of restaurant you like to keep as a well guarded secret so that you never struggle to get a table there. Go Go Go ....its terrific!

went here the other Sunday, we were out for a drive and decided to stop as it looked really nice from outside, inside was just as nice, and the food was lovely, my partner had the roast beef and the size and thickness was great and was still very tender. very well cooked, i tried the potted crab and then meatballs which were both great .the service was very good and the background music just made it a nice pleasant place to eat, will be going back again.

they have a poor service and they food all taste the same gravey taste.need to clean then self up.

I took my granny here for her birthday a table of 10 and it was very nice. Good atmosphere for the old and the young, nice wine and excellent food and service. Apparently it has been here for 10 years, great find, will be back

Well I'm shocked at the good reviews. The best dish I had when we went recently was the chewy squid with the slushy batter - a very simple dish to get right. Enough said on the food. With respect to the staff Himmler and Geobels would have been more welcoming - I have never come across such frosty rudeness in a restaurant.
