we went midweek and it was not particularly busy .The service was very slow and not interested really . The bar area was untidy with lots of unwashed glasses and the young lady behind it was more interested in flirting with a young customer that prepare our drinks order. The food was okay until we found a long black hair in it.When we asked for the bill it took yet again a long time to be delivered and we could have easily left unnoticed without paying as the staff were so disinterested. We will not be going there again nor will any of our friends

Found Vivido by accident, my husband and I stopped there. Very clean, very friendly & attentive & helpful staff. Food was excellent, loved the garlic bread!. Price was reasonable. No wonder it is named the winner of Best Mediterranean Restaurant Award 2009. Superb.

Caseys is a small but perfectly formed restaurant located upstairs just off the picturesque green in Great Ayton. We’ve had a few meals there now and just fallen in love with the place. It’s a personal dining experience, best suited for celebrating the most special of occasions or a romantic meal. From the moment you enter you’re looked after by the friendly and attentive staff, there’s a real sense of pride in their brasserie and appropriately so. Once you’ve settled and drinks orders are taken, you’re given a selection of fresh olives and breads to nibble on while Head Chef and owner Jenny works her magic for your meal. The emphasis here is very much on taste and balancing flavours, with seasonal foods from the very best local suppliers being used imaginatively in a constantly changing menu. Jenny and her team supply mouth watering food, that’ll have you wondering why you couldn’t have found the place sooner. My strongest recommendation for anyone looking to celebrate, looking to have a meal that is a genuine taste experience, from restaurateurs who genuinely care, would be to seek Caseys out at the first available opportunity. Enjoy the meal, relax in the atmosphere, and then pass on the recommendation to friends, they’ll thank you for it.

chaophraya, where can you start? fantastic staff so child friendly, amazing food we go all the time and we receive the same high standard every time we go, infact i might go as far as saying this is THE best restaurant in yorkshire, if you get the opportunity to go don't pass it up

My daughter and son-in-law held their wedding reception here in a marquee in the garden. The food was superb and plentiful with a separate menu catering for the younger guests. The reception morphed into the evening party seamlessly. Nothing was too much bother for the staff who smiled all the way through the celebrations. I would recommend the Ship to anyone who is planning a celebration of any kind.

My wife & i called for lunch on Saturday,this is our 5th visit &once again had an outstanding meal,always an excellent choice in meat & fish & as always doninics wine selection was very good. The whole eating experience was excellent.

In the past, not very recently though, I have felt the service was poor. We informed the management of it so maybe since then it may have improved. However, I personally recommend their deserts that are freshly made.

My boyfriend and I have been a few times and the only 'problem' we had was choosing WHAT to eat! There was so much choice on the menu and we have tried to have something different each time - we have never been disappointed in our choices. The food is delicious. My boyfriend has been to Thailand and he said that eating there almost “took him back” because the food and atmosphere is so authentic. The staff where beautiful uniforms with pretty flowers in their hair and you really do feel as though you are in Thailand. There was one occasion where the staff had got my drink order incorrect, however they were quick to rectify and very apologetic. We both recommend Thai House Restaurant, Hull.

My Husband and i would like to thank the staff and the chef again for an absolutely fantastic meal last night, We have visited the ash tree twice in a week, that to me is enough of a recommendation to anyone! the food was fabulous, we had steak pie and broccoli cream cheese bake with chips and vegetables, they were all served piping hot and elegantly presented and the portions were just right, we also enjoyed hot chocolate fudge cake and treacle sponge and custard. we were delighted again and would like to recommend the ash tree to any one who is passing, you definitely will not regret your decision to dine there!

Have eaten here a few times; there is a good menu choice and you receive generous portions - food is always delicious and we'll continue to visit The Glasshouse in the future.

Has to be the best italian restaurant outside of rome. Fabulous food, great atmosphere and gorgeous staff. Fabulous!!!

The pan fried liver is the best i have tasted, staff great, food great, eaten here on and off for years never been disappointed.

Myself and my new Husband held our wedding reception at the ash Tree inn on the 25th July 2009, we had the most fantastic day and the food was fabulous, The reception was held in the Marquee in the garden and we were able to have some fantastic photographs taken around the pond and on the top paddock. All of the staff worked so hard to make our day special and we didn't want for anything, the evening Buffet was also fantastic with something for everyone. not one of our guests said a bad word about anything, and most commented that it was the best wedding reception they had ever been to. we will definitely be visiting the ash tree again in the very near future, we would recommend it to any couples who are getting married as we didn't have to worry about a thing and the setting and scenery is remarkable, the marquee is fabulous too!

Went last night with my wife. Have been many time before and always found it good. Food tasteless last night...all dishes. Wont go again!!

Lovely charming pub, nice inside, friendly staff. The food is excellent, value for money and very plentiful, i have eaten here loads of times and find it very hard to beat. Would most definitely recommend, you won't be disappointed but need to ring first, can get busy and it is only small.

I visited this restaurant on 25 July 2009. My wife and i were totally ignored by the staff at the bar for 15 mins. As we had booked a table we decided to try the restaurant upstairs, when we got there, they didn't have our booking. We had to ask for drinks 3 times and the bill twice. I am Indian by origin maybe this had something this had something to do wih the diabolical level of service provided.
