Tandoori Nights – RichmondWe can not fault this restaurant at all! We have eaten the chef Kennys food before at the Blue bicycle and at a wedding, and could not wait to try this place. It did not let us down at all, the ambience was second to none, the staff friendly and helpful, but the food.......... wow! The best in york in our opinion. The attention Kenny gives to everything is outstanding, the little extras such as homemade bread in different flavours, the fact he makes the effort of coming personally to see if all is ok and plenty more I could rabbit on about. Can not wait till we go again.
Ate O Clock – YorkI have been to Bistro Romanos on a number of occasions, and have always found the service excellent, the food prepared and cooked in an exquisite manner and the atmosphere perfect. Even though I no longer live in Barnsley, I always make a point of booking a table whenever I am in town.
Bistro Romanos – BarnsleyKiplings is by far the best indian restaurant in Bradford and beyond. The food is fantastic and the service by Raf and the team is superb. I recommend the Chicken Shashlik (sorry about the spelling) with a Korma or Masala sauce and the rice with cashew nuts - MMMMMMMMMM!!
Kiplings Restaurant – BradfordGood atmosphere, lovely restaurant, nice staff (although we were ignored on the way out ) but sadly food was not very interesting or inspirational. £16.50 for a boring plate of king prawns and chips with garlic mayo! Calves liver tasted nice but only the same as any other restaurant I've had it in - not sure why they are serving it with colcannon mash - it being a french restaurant - and where was the cabbage in it? Baked Alaska was a nice feature of an otherwise boring menu. The meal had a bit of the "Emporor's new clothes" about it. Will not be returning as there are a lot of other more interesting restaurants in Leeds.
Brasserie Blanc – Leeds City CentreI agree totally. The best curry I have ever had!!! the meat is perfectly cooked, the service very friendly, well priced and you can take your own booze!! A must for 'real' curry lovers!!!!! I have tried about 10 different dishes on this menu and have never been disappointed, but the Chicken Rogan Josh is a joy!
Samarkand – Wakefieldomars is the best.. a must go.. the food is very cheap and the service is fantastic.. i love the chana puri and they have an award for the biggest naan. order the family size naan and ull neva be able to finish it.. its just the best. da jam rolly polly ans seekh kebabs, and masala wraps not to forget chiken palak... dyr food is fantastic
Omars – BradfordMeal was fantastic value. Would recommend Peking Spare Ribs as a starter and Beef Chop Suey for main. One rice between two people would have been sufficient for future reference. March 2008
Dragon Inn The – RiponFor my 60th birthday my husband arranged a surprise party. David, the proprietor, arranged the whole evening by email with my husband in Belgium. Everything was wonderful. excellent food and wines and lovely, intimate surroundings. We were given private use of the dining room and the stylish, comfortable lounge. David acted as Maitre D for the evening and made sure everything ran not only smoothly but with a few added delights. All in all the attention to detail, friendly professional staff and lovely surroundings made for a birthday to remember. Many of our guests stayed overnight in the hotel and enjoyed an extended stay with a traditional Yorkshire breakfast. If you are planing a small wedding or special party David and his staff will ensure it is one to remember. I would recommend The Frenchgate Hotel without any reservations. Peter and Joan Badcock 15th March 2008
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondWe ate here during March 2008, our second visit. Friends took us the first time and we took friends on our second! The food was extraordinary and the service some of the best ever experienced. The flavours are exquisite and well balanced. Prices reasonable for the quality of food. And, unusually for an oriental restaurant, amazing desserts!
Bistro Saigon – Ilkleyabsolutely superb service, food, and location, the restaurant is modern spacious and very welcoming. the prices are very reasonable and portions very good, all food freshly cooked and well presented, give it a try. they also offer a good selection of bar meals also very well priced.
Charnwood Restaurant @ Best Western Charnwood Hotel – WorksopCome on down to The George Country Inn Very nice people
The George at Wath – RiponVery Poor Service. Myself and my partner went in on a quite sunday night. We were seated at around 630pm,ordered about 5 minutes later, and got out 2nd(and final) course at 750pm. At one point, after 40 mins of waiting for our first course a waiter told us the food was on its way! People around us got served with quickly enough. The menu was complex, and should only be tackled by those who know their Beijing and Sichuan cuisine from standard chinese. The food was OK, but not enough to make up for the service. I would not go here again, nor would i recommend it to anyone.
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreFantastic meal. Friendly atmosphere. Value for money. A must for any foodies who love Italian cuisine at its best. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Rustico – WakefieldThis was a first visit to Wasabi Teppanyaki. I was really impressed. The food was lovely, cooked in front of you by entertaining (if rather noisy) chefs. We chose the early bird menu (available 6-7.30pm) for £18. We thought you had to choose from the menu - but you got the whole menu (apart from sweets where you did choose). Total bill for 2 £70 including wine. Only gripe was that we felt a little rushed as the area was needed for the next guests, so we were moved to another table for the sweet. Other than that was great. I would recommend this place and eat there again myself.
Wasabi Teppanyaki – Leeds City CentreBeautifully decorated and carefully thought out restaurant and takeaway. There is even spotlessly clean baby changing facilities on offer and wheel chair access. The food was delicious. Lightly battered fish and crisp chips. Very reasonably priced, served by friendly staff. We ate in the restaurant but you can buy from the takeaway and eat on the patio and buy an icecream from their parlour. The River Wharfe just down the road from the restaurant is a great place to take a stroll with the kids as theirs a lovely park there too. A lovely day out.
Friday night, good pub food with a good atmosphere.
