Prashad – BradfordI am not a vegetarian but I love to eat the meals that my Vegan friends cook for me. It was they who introduced me to this great little Vegetarian Café in Thornton. On the day we visited, the Specials Board had a Vegetables, Mushrooms and Almond Crumble. It was simply divine. And it came with a most wonderful salad! I award you full marks for your cooking skills. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I look forward to my next visit.
South Square Vegetarian Cafe – BradfordNot really a pub that serves food as such, but, if like me a decent pint of real ale comes as a priority before food being served, ( ie, - no decent ale, then I dont stop even if the food is reputedly good!) you can quite happily skip the eating and get tucked into a few pints of always available excellent ales.
Three Pigeons – HalifaxEvery time I leave Prashad's I think 'it really doesn't get any better than this' ....and every time I return I think 'this is even better than last time'. Simply the best food in Bradford, cooked by a magician. I took a new friend today who said it was the best Asian food he had ever tasted. I had my favourite pea kachori, and the wonderful uttapam, which manages to be fresh, light and filling all at the same time (how does that happen?) with a coconut based dip to die for. Yet another wonderful and memorable meal. If you have someone to surprise, love or impress....take them to Prashad's and see their delight.
Prashad – Bradfordfood inside pub very nice - then into car park to discover sick in the car park covered up with a shovel of muck to try to disguise it making me and the wife feel sick too !
Gray Ox – LiversedgeI am from Bolton, Lancashire. I visited my friends in Bradford and they took me to this Indian Vegetarian Restaurant for dinner. I have often eaten in Asian Restaurants but my concept of Indian curries was limited to the standard fare that is offered in these restaurants, namely balti, korma, bhuna, zalfrezi, Madras and such like. Then I had a look at the Prashad menu. What an eye-opener that was! Wow! Dishes such as Mango Lassi, Cashewnut and Corn Rolls, Bataka Wada, Bhel, Pani Puri, Masala Dosa, Utthapam, Idli Sambar, Sheero, Sev were an entry into a totally new world for me. We had a veritable feast fit for royalty. I never realised that Indian Cuisine could be so varied and so tasty. What have I missed all these years that I have been eating in Asian Restaurants! I shall certainly be back the next time I am in Bradford. Is there any chance of Prashad opening a branch in Bolton?
Prashad – BradfordMy partner took me here yesterday, what a delightful revelation! I have been to a goodly number of Indian restaurants in the UK and have enjoyed many of them. In recent years I have found the 'after-effects' less than pleasant. I was assured this would not be the case on this occasion. Since she had previously visited the restaurant (and take-away!) several times, I asked my partner to order for me, so I can’t recall precisely what we had. I know she also intends to submit a review, so I expect she will identify the dishes we enjoyed. Sufficient to say everything was both surprising and delicious. After asking permission I took a photograph of the young lady in the kitchen and thanked her for such an excellent meal. This was an experience I will remember for a long time, and one I will want to repeat very soon. Perhaps next time I will order for the two of us! I know we will continue to 'sample' each other's meal. I especially enjoyed the Kulfi ... with two spoons! This must be one of the best authentic Indian restaurant in the UK! No 'after-effects' except for a desire to return and repeat the experience!
Prashad – BradfordI live and work in London and whenever I visit my Mum and Dad we try and go for a walk on a Sunday morning and finish up for lunch at this cosy Vegetarian Café. The spicy fruit cordial is very refreshing after a long, brisk walk. I also love the bean enchiladas accompanied by the scrumptious salad. The food here has always been great and we’ve never been disappointed.
South Square Vegetarian Cafe – Bradfordawesome food and service!!
Prashad – BradfordI used to agree with both prior reviews, but recently (3 weeks ago) I went for a meal with my husband and it was a bit disappointing. We had booked for an early dinner so we were the only ones seated upstairs which was lovely. We were allowed to go out to the roof terrace area for a cigarette instead of going downstairs which was lovely of them. But then we ordered our starters (scallops for me Italian sausage for him) and they were awful. Mine was not fresh, the whole thing had gone from freezer to oven and it had very little in the way of texture or flavour - normally wouldn't complain but it was £6.95! His tasted like a cheap version of canned meatballs in ragu! The main course was lovely though so we did not complain. I must admit I will not be going back though and it used to be my favourite restaurant in Doncaster :(
Fratellis – DoncasterWe eat regular at THEO'S and would recommend to anyone and everyone, the staff are excellent and Nick comes to speak with you throughout your meal. fabulous restaurant, if i could afford to eat out every night i would
Aya Sophia Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine – Hebden BridgeI live and work in London and when I visit my Mum and Dad we always make it a point to dine in this superb Indian Vegetarian Restaurant our favourite place to eat out in Bradford. I have been to India on several occasions as my family on Dad’s side live there. Eating here brings back happy, nostalgic memories of my times spent in India and the meals I have shared with my family there. My favourite starters are Bhel Supreme and Pani Puri. We usually choose from Masala Dosa, Utthapam, Idli Sambar and the delicious Rengan and Lilva, an aubergine curry for our main courses. My favourite desserts are Lapsi and Sev. Kaushy Patel is a true Culinary Magician able to produce such mouth-watering dishes on the Prashad menu.

Rhubarb Triangle Brewers Fayre – WakefieldI am a French citizen and a vegetarian, teaching French in schools in Heckmondwike on a short term contract. As my contract had come to an end, I came to Bradford to bid goodbye to my vegan friends living in Shipley. They took me to this most unusual Indian Vegetarian Restaurant. I am very glad that they did because I have not ever come across another like it either in France or here during my stay in England. Although I have eaten in many Asian restaurants in France and in this country I had not come across a menu like this before. I was introduced to a whole new world of Indian vegetarian Cuisine. I had a Falooda, a drink made out of yoghurt, ice cream, noodles and many other ingredients that I cannot even name. It was absolutely heavenly, pure ambrosia. For starters we had Rengan Bhajia (auberjine fritters), pani puri, which I was shown how to eat! A puri is a small round, puffed, crispy, lightly fried, hollow wheat cake. A hole is made in its surface with the thumb and the inside is filled with a mixture of potato, chickpeas, onions, etc. Then it is filled with a tamarind sauce and the puri is placed in the mouth. As you bite into the puri the taste buds are teased and tingled with exotic flavours that are released! We shared a masala dosa, an utthapam and idli sambar, enabling me to have a taste of these different and unusual dishes. I was too full to try one of he wonderful sounding desserts. Bobby Patel the owner very kindly took a photo of the three of us at the table thus enabling me to have a record on my friends and also this wonderful restaurant. Bobby you are welcome to open a branch in my home town in France and you can be sure that I will be there every weekend!
