I love the Sheesh Mahal restaurant, it is by far the best Indian in Leeds. I can't get enough of it. Such large portions for such an average price. The staff are so friendly and welcome you as soon as walk in the door!

Good food, service in a really great setting and the prices are very reasonable all in all a great night out was had by all.

It was clear from our first encounter that David Todd (Proprietor) was passionate about food, wine and ensuring all his customers had a great time in his restuarant. It is very difficult to walk the line between a formal dining experience and a welcoming but non-intrusive service yet David and his team pull this off with aplomb. The wine list is extensive and enticing (and, incidentally, includes champagne with a very acceptable £10 mark-up!). The food is nicely presented, carefully prepared and expertly cooked. Finally, the cheese board is to die for, the only problem being the ability to remember which of the 16 cheeses was the best. In short, the Frenchgate is a wonderful restaurant serving great food and complemented perfectly by exceptional service.

Loved the food, the atmosphere was great. Even though it was a very busy Monday night the restaurant environment was very serene.

Relaxing friendly pub with excellent food and ambience, would highly recommend, excellent bitters and roaring coal fire what else do you need?

A group of 8 of us ate here last Saturday and I have not got a bad word to say about the place! The ambience was delightful and the staff so friendly. The food was amazing. My partner recommends the "Tiger Tears" steak which he loved. Most items on the menu could be ordered with chicken, pork, beef, prawn, salmon or just veg so there was plenty of choice for everyone. The vegetarian option is almost half the price too so it was a bonus for me. The noodles are gorgeous here, better than plain bland noodles I have had at other Thai restaurants and the sticky rice was also very nice. I cannot recommend the choclate cake that I had for dessert enough - it was absolutely amazing! Price wise it was decent. It was £190 for 8 of us and that included 3 bottles of wine at a tenner each. We will definitely return for another fantastic meal.

What a wonderful restaurant with quite a knowledgeable and welcoming host. David Todd is passionate about food and my husband and I enjoyed the evening tremendously.

I am almost afraid to recommend this place as once you discover it for yourself the rest of us will have difficulty getting a table! The proprietor, David, has such a pleasant and friendly manor you feel that you were invited to dinner with old friends when you arrive. He certainly knows a thing or too and is happy to explain the menu and wine list for as long as you want to listen. I was staying there while on business so can tell you that the breakfasts were served with the same care and attention to presentation and flavour as the wonderful dinners. The rooms are comfortable, genteel and tastefully decorated - such a pleasant experience that I intend to return with husband in tow for a short break to Richmond. The town is well worth visiting too!

We've eaten here a couple of times as its great to have a decent restaurant in Rothwell. The food is lovely and the service is good too. However, it is vastly overpriced for what it is. I think we're paying for the refurb and new location personally. Come on guys, it is Rothwell not the city centre!

The Chef at sleepers deserves a medal, I'm sure its down to him why this place is always buzzing. Myself and husband eat here regulaly. Food is on par with any restaurant.

Gorgeous food, friendly and smiley staff, great informal atmosphere, my one complaint is the price, but apart from that excellent, would return again!

The best, we are always made to feel welcome, the service is superb and personalised and the food is always exceptional. We are regular patrons who always feel that we are being welcomed in a very special way. This is a very child friendly restaurant and my daughter is always given a special welcome. I can recommend it to anyone.

The best Thai food I have eaten to date. Definitely returning

Went to Baan Thai for our 21st wedding anniversary and was very impressed by the decor and more importantly the food. Very good service and very polite staff. Would definitely go again and would recommend the Baan Thai to our friends.

The finest tradional pub in the area keighley not skipton as stated above fantastic quality timothy taylors ales on offer all 5 I challenge you to find a better pub any where the best pint of landlord in the world.

WHAT A BRILLIANT PLACE THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC HOMEMADE PIES AND THE LAMB TAGINE IS EXCEPTIONAL MADE BY THE LANDLADY WHO OBVIOUSLY LOVES HER JOB. WILL RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE I KNOW.
