This is all of my families favourite Chinese Buffet Restaurant. It has a wide variety of dishes which are all delicious, and on an evening there are so many more to choose from, we are always spoilt for choice! The Eastern Court is also very contemporary (decor wise) which we love. We have recommended it to all our friends and work colleagues and those that have been have not been disappointed. We go at least once a fortnight. We love it. It certainly outdoes every other buffet restaurant we have tried...and believe me, we have tried many.

Lovely new premises although I still preferred the old premises at Woodlesford. The food is still great and the ambience lovely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I fully concur with Mr Spongy`s astute observation of the Queens Hotel, however I hasten to add, they have much more than just cream cakes in their repertoire, however a word of warning ! stay clear when they hold a karaoke evening as the landlord a "young bull of a man" often sings like a loon which can make one quite nauseous

After much deliberation, and constant pressure from my wife we went to this nice, friendly restaurant. My wife being the fussy eater was my main concern, but now we go there every fortnight. The food speaks for itself, friendly service that i have not seen rivalled since London.

I have been to Kitties a few times now. each time the food has been very good, however each time it has only been me and my partner there so service was always fantastic. It reminds me of a place were Gordon Ramsey should visit because the food can be adventurous (every kind of veg in miniature) and just needs to be re vamped. a really nice place though. Worth a visit.

I thought the meal was very nice compared to other Indian restaurants the portion sizes are probably smaller. however the meal altogether is very nice.

Upstairs and not over-inviting entrance, but excellent value and an all round, sound, standard curry house meal. All the usual choices, and the chef will tailor curries to your liking, if asked. The early bird menu (served until 10pm!) offers a 3 course choice and is topped up with a poppadum and coffee. Excellent value at £5-99. Own drinks permitted, but a bar is available. Friendly staff. Easy street parking and central for town.

When one thinks of authentic, flavour-filled world-class pizza, only one place comes to mind. Forget the Ivy in Beverley Hills, The Cipriani in Venice or even Scallini in London. Mama Mia's pizza in Chapel Allerton makes those places her bitch every time. Lets start at the bottom - literally. The dough base. Not too thick and bready like those "other places" and not so thin that the pizza falls apart like some places i could mention, but i wont. Basically, the dough is perfect. Lets move on to the tangy tomato sauce. A perfect blend of herbs and spices. A closely guarded secret that Mama Mia's great grandmother probably invented a hundred years ago back in the old country. Bursting with flavour, simmered to perfection before being generously spread over the dough. Next is the cheese. Certain other places use cheap, mass produced makro cheese by product. Not Mama Mia, who takes pride in her cheese. Milked from baby cows and carefully mixed and set into a cheese that puts award winning french cheese farmers to shame and sprinkled on top of the critically acclaimed tomato sauce. No pizza is complete without a vast array of toppings, and at Mama Mia's your toppings requirements will be satisfied every time. It is almost a "krypton factor" like challenge having to choose which exquisite vegetable or meat to add as they are all so good. My personal favourite is mushrooms and pepperoni, although every topping is superb. Words cannot express the culinary-explosion that takes place after the first bite. This pizza has heroin like qualities, and once you've tasted it, you're hooked for life. Like a shark tasting blood for the first time, Mama Mia's pizza actually alters your body chemistry as neuro-transmitters in the pleasure centre of the brian are overloaded with seratonin in an extasy fuelled chemical explosion. There are some out there who would disagree with me, but once they taste Mama Mia's creation, even the harshest critic will be turned. Mama Mia's is an institution that will live on from generation to generation. What a great night out, good service, food was better than expected .would recommend to anybody. Top class Italian.

Was really looking forward to going here after hearing so many rave reviews. Although it was a very pleasant experience I was glad I didn't get dressed up for the occasion though as i felt like i was sat in a clean Cafe, my husband said he felt he was sat in a kebab shop with the open plan kitchen thing going on. I was slightly disappointed with the Seafood menu too not a huge variety. Nice food but I have had better but the staff were lovely.

My friend and I had read a review recommending the Frenchgate restaurant and hotel and after a couple of tries of not being able to get a table, finally succeeded last Friday. It was well worth the wait. On arrival we were greeted like old friends and shown into the lovely walled garden to enjoy a drink whilst perusing the menu. Choosing proved to be quite difficult as to be completely frank it all sounded a bit heavenly, after much umming and ahhing (and another small tipple) I chose the delectable sounding hot smoked salmon terrine followed by a tian of beef. being a bit of a glutton I then had the lemon plate. such was the quality and brilliance of the food I am unashamed to say that I have been wearying the ears of anyone who cares to ask if I happened to know a good place to eat. needless to say we will be returning very soon and look forward to both the excellent food and the prompt, friendly and welcoming service provided by the owner.

Been here a couple of times & both experiences have produced excellent food & service. Granted it is one of the pricier venues in Hebden Bridge but the extra's make it worth every penny. Not exactly cutting edge decor but certainly well kept & who cares when the food & service are soo good!

Graveleys in Harrogate serve the best and I mean the BEST fish and chips in the UK. The batter in just right and the chips are just 100%...there is no oil, no skin on the fish, no bones....many fish n chip owners should visit Graveleys..It is how they should be. I travel from London twice a year for biz and always go there...and if I am even up Leeds way or coming down the A1..Graveleys the place for me...Give a try you will be glad you did.

After ages trying to find somewhere to have a nice meal we stumbled across The Windmill. As soon as we drove up i had a good feeling about the place and i was proven right. The hotel is surprisingly large, clean and very inviting. The bar staff were polite and helpful in choosing the right wine for us. After sitting outside in the lovely large garden we went and sat in the conservatory for our meal. I am quite a fussy eater and only ever order steak pie which i did on this occasion and i have to say it was deliciously rich and tasty. The rest of my family all ordered something different and it all looked that nice i tried a mouthful of all of theirs and couldn’t get over how gorgeous each meal was. Then it was time for desserts with no less than 18 to choose from. The waitress described all the ones we asked about very clearly to help us make up our mind and we were all blown away as they were all totally scrumptious. The staff were all so friendly the atmosphere was very relaxed the prices were perfect. I would not only recommend The Windmill to would be diners but i would urge you all to make a visit. Oh - before i forget - you cannot leave The Windmill until you have sampled the millionaires cheesecake mmmmmmmmm.
