Ziggys Spice House and Pizza Bar – HalifaxThis place was fab!!! raf and the team are excellent ! Definitely worth giving it a try
Kiplings Restaurant – BradfordNice food but took an age to take the order - almost an hour!
Sasso – HarrogateWe dined here last night before going to the IMAX. I was quite surprised at this restaurant tucked away down a side street. We were shown through the dining area into the bar which was quite surprising and very pleasant. The waitresses looked after us very well and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The Manageress even went out into the rain to find two of our party who didn't know Bradford Centre - what better service could you get anywhere.
New Giuseppes Restaurant – BradfordVery nice little cafe bar in the middle of headingley, I’ve been a few times now and have never been disappointed. It has lots of offers for daytime (main meal and drink £5) or evening meals and is always busy. Would recommend this to anyone. Definitely recommend from the snacks Mexican Chicken Nachos (don't let this put you off it is a very large portion.
Dare Cafe – HeadingleyOld English Gentleman is a beautiful public house in the Hull town centre. Avery old and cultural place, very relaxing inside and the staff are just fantastic. Food is very nice.
Old English Gentleman – HullThe main menu is good for a chain pub, but the Sunday carvery is excellent and a good price and the staff were very nice.
Punch Bowl, The – ThorneNot bad for pre-packed cooking, good pub as far as chains go
Green Tree Brewers Fayre – DoncasterExcellent food, more expensive than your average meal out, but well worth the extra money. I will be returning and advise others to do so. The mussels in black bean sauce starter is outstanding
Fortune Cantonese Restaurant – DoncasterGood honest, home cooked pub food at a good price, great for a simple meal out
Canal Tavern – ThorneInventive menu that changes each month. Food looks great and tastes really fresh. So good to have this nearby - keep it up!
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgeInventive menu that changes each month. Food looks great and tastes really fresh. So good to have this nearby - keep it up!
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgeA very friendly place to visit, with customer service second to none. The range of drinks and the super varied menu with staff going that extra mile to make you feel welcome, makes me return to the Duke on a regular basis. They do lots of little extras that you wouldn't get everywhere (like chill the glasses for the chilled champers) if you order in advance. Well recommended.
Duke of York – Halifaxi found the pub to be very friendly with a good character inside with the wooden floors and ingle nook fire, a very outstanding range of red and white wines, the food was plenty to chose from. i would recommend anyone to pay a visit this place.
Spring Rock Inn, The – HalifaxWent to The Tannin Level last night and I was very surprised! The food was perfect and the wine list exceptional. I will be frequenting the restaurant now as its recently become a new entry into my top 10 places to eat in the country! The staff are great too, particularly Victoria. Every restaurant needs a front of house like her.
The Tannin Level – HarrogateEaten here a few times & never been disappointed, the Sunday lunch is especially good.Drinks are a bit pricey though for what is at best a gastropub & along with the other reviewers i agree that the service charge is v.cheeky.
Salute @ The White Swan – RothwellMy husband and I have been going to Maxis in York since it opened and prior to that, since 1990 in Leeds. We go at least once a month and have never had a bad meal. In fact, the food is consistently excellent. Truly delicious cantonese cuisine, with a separate cantonese menu for experts. The service is very good, the food coming quite quickly after being ordered. A must for those who love chinese and cantonese food.
Maxis – YorkWell known for a very long time in York, it was one of the first restaurants to provide high quality, consistently good food. The menu is largely fish, so if you're not a fan, there is not a lot of choice. Food quality is excellent and the food is very good. However, I don't think that the food was as good as the cost. A good cook at home could probably produce similar results. I must mention that the portions are huge, and even the largest of appetites will be more than satisfied. The langoustines were particularly delicious. There are more imaginative, creative menus in York. Good food, but not worth the huge bill at the end.
