I first began to eat here after fishing for cod in the adjacent river humber. There are stunning views at lunchtime (and evenings in summer) over the river. My wife and I found the food and friendly service very good.

Mr Chu China Palace – HullI would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food at a reasonable price. Mama mia,s is welcoming, cosy and very friendly. There is a great menu with so much to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice. All the food is cooked fresh and tastes out of this world. There is a great selection of wines on offer, and the house wine is a steal at £8.80 a litre. So go along and find out what you've been missing out on.
Mamma Mia Pepe – SheffieldI found the Blue Bicycle to be distinctive but not necessarily in the most positive way. The wine list was adequate with a number of Languedocian wines from Southern France. For a starter i had the fried baby rabbit, a delicate dish with a somewhat arid aftertaste, the bitter sauce was not appropriately in tune with the nature of the dish. For the main course i had the foie gras, unusual as a main, however, it was presented reasonably well, though the technique required to cook such a dish is not particularly challenging. The price of these two dishes was well within my range, and the service was curt yet not impolite. With so many restaurants in York i think i will be going elsewhere in future.
Blue Bicycle – YorkJust been to BoBo LoBo for our work Christmas party. A table of 14 eating at 9pm wasn't an issue for them at all, even though they're a really small venue. We pre-ordered in advance - a selection of starters between us which were all excellent, and a variety of mains. The fajitas were the best, the steak and ribs great, and the half chicken dish was gigantic (could have done with some sort of sauce or salsa with it though). We had loads of wine and beers and shots of vodka, and still only managed to spend less than £470 between 14 of us, which we considered a bargain. The staff were really accommodating, turning the music down for us once everyone else had left the dining area, letting us stay at and move around our tables so we could play some games, and being swift to respond whenever we required booze top-ups. We moved to the downstairs bar at 1am where the atmosphere was really nice, some people had a dance and others just chatted in the bar. Music was good and the other clientele didn't seem in the least bit clique-y which you get in some of the latin joints in Leeds. All in all an excellent night out!
BoBo LoBo – Yorkexcellent food good service and nicely priced with good quality wine at a decent price. a very enjoyable evening. definitely going back soon.
Rustico – WakefieldMy partner and I went the first week it opened, It felt like walking into an Italian restaurant at first as the decor was unlike any Indian i had previously been to. But it was an Indian meal to remember, good service (apart from the waiter rushing to the window everytime a fit girl walked past the window)the food was great.
Chilli Restaurant – Barnsleyrubbish service, waste of money, cold food sent out. poor hygiene in the kitchen
Beaumont Arms, The – HuddersfieldJust had a lovely meal at this place, new menu and new private owners. Black Bull fayre menu excellent, now serves proper sunday roast dinners with real joints of meat. Lovely gravy and outstanding value.
Black Bull – WakefieldApparently new owners, made some excellent changes already! New menu which is superb and very reasonably priced. Excellent food and excellent pub!
Black Bull – WakefieldNEW PRIVATE Owners, took over the Black Bull today, open this evening and the food is soooo much better than before. Still serving real pub food but done at a good standard. I had Black Bull burger, 2 8oz Aberdeen Angus burgers made up this monster of a burger, slices of bacon, cheese, onion rings, mushrooms and smothered in BBQ sauce. Excellent will eat their again. Best try it soon as this place is gonna be busy busy busy
Black Bull – WakefieldWe eat at the Royal spice every week with our young children. The staff are very friendly and the food always excellent. In particular the nan bread which is the nicest we have tried! I would recommend eating out at the Royal Spice as you will be guaranteed a great curry as a reasonable price!
Royal Spice, The – Barnsleystaples...no plates... when was plates was dirty...... i will not go again.
Maxis – Leeds City Centrei have been a few times but this time it was horrible.. everything was dirty and i even got a staple in my food i wil not be going again
Maxis – Leeds City CentreThe landlord is the rudest women you will ever meet in your entire life. Never going back. Food OK nothing special at all. went on a friday night at 8.30 and was dead. worst meal out ever spoilt by her
Grange Arms, The – NorthallertonHaving been to both the Akbars in Leeds in knew what to expect, decor was similar modernist (bit to much red lighting for me but that's just personal taste), poppadoms arrived these were soft and to be honest tasted like either yesterdays or some left over from the Lunch serving, not impressed at all, main course was hot with decent sized portions, however the food was totally over salted to the point where all you could taste was salt, I had ordered the Lamb and spinach balti which fro all the world was a lamb sagg by any other name, price was a little on the high side for an Indian but not ridiculous, got to be honest all in all not impressed with the food in this Akbars the one on Greek St in Leeds is better.
Akbars – YorkVery disappointing food with tired fish obviously kept waiting at inflated prices and denoted "specials". We thought the wine pricey for what it was and generally the taste left in the mouth was one of being ripped off.
Grappolo Restaurant – HuddersfieldI like this little restaurant. Not much atmosphere as decoration is poor, however both this and Magdalenes Restaurant opposite are the best in Wakefield
Rustico – WakefieldExcellent genuine Italian restaurant. The staff as always are attentive and service is excellent. We have been going for many years and it just gets better! Keep up the good work
